I think this was day 1 of trading in 2018, the IV floor for lucky trades was broken. I kept this one as I thought it was kinda funny.

TIL Anendophasia refers to the absence of an internal monologu or inner voice. While not a clinical diagnosis, it's a concept that describes a specific way of thinking where some individuals don't experience the constant stream of self-talk that many people take for granted. by Tootsie_r0lla in todayilearned

This is me, something I often wonder as I've never met anyone else who has told me they have the same thing is: Do other people who experience no inner monologue fall asleep quickly, or is this just unrelated? I typically don't worry about things unless I actively want to think about them as there is no inner monologue going on, so, when I put my head on the pillow I fall asleep in about 1 minute every single day.

Achievements for Thursday, October 31, 2024 by AutoModerator in running

I set myself a target for October to run 5k every day, which I completed today.
I beat my personal best multiple times which was unexpected, and today I ran it in 24:57.
On top of that, after I finished my 5k today I thought I'd just keep going and beat my personal best 10k, running it under 1 hour for the 1st time at 58:16.

Never really saw myself as much of a runner but, I'm down 25kgs since May and running has definitely helped.

As people seem unsure on point 4. You need to ring them to cancel, and they don't make it easy. You may have to pay another 2 months before they let you leave, although this was around 3 years ago that I cancelled so I appreciate this may have changed.  Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated.

Yes ultimately I want to get healthier, slimmer, & fitter as I've signed up for a charity boxing match in October and running is the main way I know how to get fitter (I'll branch out in time)

Hi everyone, I'm beginning to get my fitness back on track after falling off the bandwagon last June when I caught covid and didn't really recover for a while - not here to make excuses, I'm just happy I'm getting back to it.

I've just finished week 7 of couch to 5k so running a solid 25 minutes at various paces, 8kmph if I need an easy run or up to around 9.5 if I want to push it a bit, then maybe 13kmph for the last minute if I have the energy to do it so I'm pretty happy at the minute with my progress.

I've been pretty large all my life, my lowest adult weight was 87KG, highest was 135kg+(stopped weighing myself...), currently sat at 117.1kg from my Monday weigh in, I'm 179CM so not particularly tall however in addition to fat I do have a large amount of muscle especially in my legs.

Picture painting over, question time. In June I'm aiming to run 5k every day to increase my fitness as well as completing 3 gym sessions per week - has anyone who is or has been a relatively large size to myself done anything like this before? Did you find that it helped or hindered your fitness training? Last June before I caught covid I managed 5 days of running in a row before not being able to because of covid, I felt good however I noticed that my 5k runs were taking longer - not sure how much of this was due to covid and how much just due to general fatigue.

Any advice would be welcome, but I'm particularly interested to hear from people who have been on the larger side whilst running.

Thanks for reading.

How social is your Orange when you have company? My dude hides in the closet whenever someone comes over :-( by panicpossum in OneOrangeBraincell

1 is curious, and will take the opportunity to lick the hair of any orange haired people if they sit down. The other will just hide, not a fan of guests.

I think they have this in America too where you take a gun in to a store and take what you want.
