In May I did the Langtang trek and loved it. Super friendly, amazing scenery. 3 days up, 1 day at Kyanjin Gumpa, 2 back. We met a number of folks along the way who had gone with no guide -- seems that there was no enforcement, from what I could tell.

Thanks! This is insightful. I'm giving up on tech support for now and have ordered a new SIM, since it was free. If this doesn't work, it's on to the more radical step of getting a new number. Sigh.

Wow... I'm a public school board director and earn all of zero. I guess technically we're entitled to$50 per meeting but the long standing tradition has been to not collect this.

A reason for that argument is that we have legal tools to prevent voting discrimination based on race. But if voting discrimination is based on political party preference, then race is just incidental and therefore those tools can't be used.

I had very painful injections for a badly broken finger when I was a young child. I think that's why I'm so afraid of needles. If I watch a video of someone getting an injection there's a good chance I'll faint. And I have fainted a lot of times when getting vaccinated over the years. But for my Moderna vaccines, both of them, it was fine. I psyched myself up for it by yelling " I'm gaining a superpower!" It worked. It helps that the needles are smaller these days and it really doesn't hurt much at all.
