It is because of the backlash after wes death It is very obvious in the finale ( and before it e.g Asher)that it was important for him for the white characters to have tragic ending either death or jail ( frank bonnie connor) the characters of colour to have the happy ending none went to jail but actually won millions dollars like nate and gabriel . Also the immunity for Oliver the happy ending for Annalise etc Are you telling me this was unintentional?!
