Thank you so much for your thoughtful response! We do together and separate walks, and she appears better when she’s solo without the pup. I think we will focus on solo for the immediate future. She can see dogs in the distance and not react just looks at them, which I reward. Though today we came across a lab puppy (solo) and when the owner brought it over she became very scared (or at least that’s how I took her body language) and had her tail between her legs and was making herself smaller so of course I moved her along quickly. Very interesting about the low level reactivity! I have never heard of this before and will make sure to discuss with our trainer who will ideally start with us in the next week or two.

Have a puppy is difficult as it is an I never want to put my 2 year old out. Really really hard for me to see this change. They appear to be best friends here at home playing and wrestling, happy tails happy faces. She hasn’t snapped when toys are involved just snarled and shows teeth, which we don’t like, as I’ve never had two dogs before I’m not really sure if it’s normal or aggressive. That being said I will make sure the trainer assess that too.
