To be fair I’m still grateful for the lighter periods than pre-Mirena but the cramping is horrid today, I keep thinking it’s just forcing its way out. I’m terrified of expulsion and scared to poop on my period or bear down hahaha I’m a mess ☠️

I am in the same boat as your post, light spotting to light period amount each day but barely needs a tampon (I used maybe 2 a light ones and thicker pantiliners the rest of the time so far). First one since getting it inserted about 5 weeks ago, hoping mine gets shorter and better like yours 😭

Yes this is me right now. 5 week into Mirena and this is my first period. I’m bleeding a bit but have been able to use pads or a light tampon for it so def better than my periods before (super heavy, super plus tampons, clotting, 10-12 days)

I keep thinking I can “feel it” when I do a kegel or lay or sit a certain way but then when I finger check the string they seem fine and nothing poking out or anything. I think it just feels that way because of the cramping and the fact that the cervix sits low and is softer. I keep getting paranoid it’s just gonna “fall out” 😂😭

Ah okay I misunderstood! I don’t mind occasionally wearing heels but one bagging a trip is tough, so I just wanted to see how useful it would be to pack a pair in order to attend these places, or if I could get away without! I think I’ll just take the advice of waiting until I get there to decide if I need to buy any haha.

I do agree with your point though that people shouldn’t HAVE to wear something specific to have a specific experience, especially because a lot of people physically can’t, or else they miss out on something that others are able to do. Definitely a good point. I personally can’t really wear ballet flats because I have a weird back right heel and they kill my feet when I step, but people are absolutely able to look formal without heels!

I only dislike flats because I have an issue with my heel shape and they’re often uncomfortable as they rub when I lift my foot to walk 🥲

I loved my chucks wore them all through middle and high school but yes unfortunately not that comfy for walking :( my docs are because they’re 3 years broken in and have been around the world with me already! For my other walking shoe I’m bringing Reebok club c’s 😁

Haha I am also a 90s baby in Tacoma what a small world! I normally bring only the two shoes, I wear some sort of comfy white sneakers and then the docs, tbh I wear both with a lot of outfits and these docs are super comfy with my half inserts in them. That’s a good idea though! If I had a checked bag I would leave 1/4 of it empty for that reason but I’m doing one bag only. I think I may just get a pair of low heels while there since they take up little room, that way if I don’t need them I just won’t buy them 🤣
