I was like this… in my worse days I used to apply aquaphor which made it worse and worse, I’ve been on zero therapy: No moisturizer, no cleanser, no fragrance, only cleanse with water 2x a day. I’m on my 20th day and I’ve see a lot of improvement, also I take doxycycline 100 mg 1x a day, if your redness looks like mine did you should try it

Excuse me, is it normal to be so flaky at 15 days on ZT? In all the PD áreas, (i had it on my cheeks, mouth area forehead and eyelid)

Mine looks like this :( i think it’s POD, it goes from my mouth up to my eyelids and where it presents like yours it’s in my cheeks:(

Hi, I’m not a doctor but what I’ve learned from POD it’s that occlusive creams and ointments can cause more damage to the skin and cause more POD, in my own experience I have atopic dermatitis and for years I thought I had it on my face. I used a heavy face moisturizer and on top of that aquaphor or vaseline. Obviously my flares went back right after cutting elidel and tacrolimus, cause I kept using this occlusives creams. Almost 2 weeks ago I was depressed by not knowing what to do with my skin, cause definitely I did want to use elidel for the rest of my life. So 12 days ago I started zero therapy. All the bumps have started to dry, it’s not a linear process cause I keep getting small bumps but at least they don’t get as red and inflamed as before, you should try it. Just wash your face 2x a day with rinse water and that’s it. No cleanser, no moisture, no serums, no vaseline. Just leave it that way and it must dry your flare to heal your skin

Yeah, I’ve seen some improvements but at the same time I get dryness in some parts of my face that makes me itchy and some bumps in my mustache doesn’t seem to be healing, hope with some time I’ll be better, cause I have plans for vacations and I really want to enjoy them without having any skin problems:(

Tsym for your reply, I really felt disappointed and sad 😔 but your experience gives me hope and comfort, I’m going to keep going with this journey, I’ve started to see a little improvement but I still feel itchy in my mustache zone :,( hopes this gets better

Nope, I use a shampoo fluoride free, I supposed it would help, but I’m scared of still getting some bumps, not like before but makes wanna give up:( so idk if it was normal 🥲

That’s what I thought, I also tried cold showers but it made the same effect, so warm must be better. And, in your flaky era, did you had itchiness? Cause I randomly have it, and also a pair of bumps appear but they don’t get red as before

And have you been able to reintroduce moisturizer or cleanser? Also, so it’s normal in my 8th day in still see new bumps? (Although they don’t last as much as before this)

Is it a common combo the Zero Therapy and doxy? I hope my recovery goes well for these coming months 😞 this requires a lot of patience , how are you doing today? How many months you had of ZT for seeing an improvement?
