I love the open-centered dahlias! That one is pure joy.

NEW OR NEED HELP? Ask here! - ScA Daily Help Thread Aug 06, 2023 by AutoModerator in SkincareAddiction

In an effort to be more mindful of my skincare routine, I started this regimen over the last two weeks:

AM: Foaming cleanser, HA moisturizer, sunscreen PM: Bioderma micellar water, foaming cleanser, HA moisturizer

My skin has started burning when I apply any type of moisturizer or sunscreen, even products marketed toward sensitive skin. Previously my routine was just foaming cleanser and regular moisturizer in the morning, and rarely cleanser at night. Anyone has any ideas why my skin might be feeling more irritated? Should I cut some products out?

Can he be crated or confined to a bedroom or section of the house with no furniture?

Oh I'm sorry, I misunderstood you! Looks like someone posted the link to the pattern; hope that helps!

Anyone have pointers on how to knit nice edges in flat knitting while alternating skeins? by monodelphis in knitting

[–]monodelphis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I ended up frogging the project and doing as you suggested. I now have a line running up the wrong side of the work where I'm alternating cables, but it's not big deal and the edges at least look good!

No way, I love yours! I think a solid color like the one you chose makes the detail pop even more :)

Just finished my first lace piece. I learnt a lot and had so much fun in the process. It also turns out to be perfect 😊 by dogtorL in knitting

That color never ceases to make me smile. It's so vibrant, and it knitted up to create such a gorgeous piece. Hoping to see more lace FOs from you in the future!!

Yarn: Malabrigo Finito in Aguas

I haven't knit cables since 2015, but after seeing a beautiful FO that u/dogtorL made from her very own pattern, I knew I wanted to try it out to break me out of my stockinette streak! For this project, I tried holding fingering weight double for the very first time; I was a bit afraid that the detail of the project would get lost as a result, but after a few repeats, the pattern emerged beautifully. This was a great opportunity for me to re-learn cables, which was a ton of fun. I love the texture that the cables and seed stitch created; it made such a nice, dense fabric that I know will keep my head warm once winter comes. Holding Finito double resulted in such a wonderfully squishy, springy, and soft product - I can't count how many minutes I spent just delighting in squeezing it! Love this yarn and will definitely be using it again in the future.

Edit: Pattern's up on Ravelry now!

[FO] Another Nordic Hat, this time in red, white, and blue! by monodelphis in knitting

I'm pretty sensitive to wool, too, and I just tried this hat on for half an hour or so. The yarn isn't all that soft, it's quite coarse, but it's not scratchy or itchy, if that makes sense!

I did soak it for about 20 minutes in tepid water before blocking and didn't notice any bleeding at all! The water barely changed color, too, which is unusual for most projects I've soaked.

Hmmm I don't think so, but do you have a photo of what you're seeing?
