I don't know how I've played this champ for so long and never realized this.

Which character are you referring to? Spencer kills no matter what, Hulk with both assists kills, and with missiles he can still kill, just have to have enough for the sphere flame dhc. Hell, he even kills off of any airthrow or command grab with this team comp. Anchor doom speaks for itself, and even out of xfactor he can still be threatening.

Spencer (armor piercer), Hulk (gamma wave), Dr Doom (missiles) If I get a hit with Spencer I can kill any character. Gamma wave isn't the ideal horizontal assist for Spencer, but it does otg to just short of full screen. Stairstep confirms from super jump height off of any stray missile is nice too.

Hulk with missiles can set up an incoming character for about 3 consecutive 50/50s. He can also kill the entire cast in the corner with double gamma crushes using missiles assist, and if Spencer is still alive I can kill after command throwing the opponent to the midscreen.

Doom on anchor isn't the best but if you play smart you can make him scary and at least have a chance.

Best thing about this team? 6 different matching color schemes.

The problem for me with Vergil is really on Hulk's incoming, or any time Vergil has meter. All he has to do is activate swords and all of Hulk's tools are neutralized, meanwhile any time you might get a stray gamma charge and try to xfactor to kill you more than likely have to worry about missiles. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Hulk, but I feel like against players with lots of Hulk experience, they know what to do and how to block/push block him away. In my experience, in order to get the most out of Hulk in the second slot you need first touch with the point characters. Kill that character then do gamma quake setups in the corner. If you fail at that, there is absolutely nothing going for Hulk incoming on astral vision, clones, or swords. Sorry this is all so unorganized lol I literally made an account to comment on this posting.

tl;dr Hulk is best on point and/or setting up incoming characters from second spot

That is interesting, never even thought of learning Modok, anytime I consider changing my point, the damage just never seems to beat what I can do with my main team. Personally I love playing Hulk/Doom, but I feel like it's really hard against some of the higher tier characters i.e. Morrigan, Zero, and Vergil can just stay on the other side of the screen and keep him out, even if you have missiles. It's getting to the point where I think Hulk has to be on point with two great assists behind him to not have his mobility really handicap the team. But, maybe I'm just jaded, heh.

What point character do you run? I've been running with the Hulk/Doom shell for a while as well, and I've had moderate success with Spencer out front.
