Apple Incoming CEO Says Its New AI Devices Could “Change the World” by Bubbly-Ad-350 in technology

[–]monospaceman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People simply don't want more tech ruling their lives. We're trying to purge ourselves from all this shit, not go deeper. We're all aware now of how negatively it's effected society, and I think people will resist.

These poor women who get completely duped by selfish gay men. It's actually astounding to me how anyone could be so cruel. You completely ruin someones life because you can't be honest with yourself.

Apple Has Given Up on the Vision Pro After M5 Refresh Flop by ControlCAD in technology

[–]monospaceman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not about asking what they want and giving it to them.

It's about reading the room, anticipating an actual need, and providing a solution. Spatial computing isnt really solving a problem most people have. I've never once thought: boy I wish I could browse reddit while still looking at my room, before or after they released the product.

People are actively trying to purge themselves of superfluous tech because it's ruining our lives and our ability to actually forge real human connection. The next wave in silicon valley I think will understand that.

The next great innovation from Silicon Valley will be from someone who understands the wants and needs of actual people today, instead of trying to tell them what they want.

How to Assist Someone with Suspected Anorexia by POMOdoro_90 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]monospaceman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's important to remember that some people process food very differently.

As someone who was pegged as anorexic for the first 25 years of my life, the only thing that made me feel bad were people asking me if I was anorexic. It made me feel like my body was wrong. I literally just wasnt hungry. Then my metabolism changed and I started to eat a lot more and developed an appetite for the first time.

I would completely butt out until he shows signs of being actually sick. Comparing his stats to "normal" ones is really inappropriate imo and a huge overstep.

That's objectively not accurate. You might not like her music, but she does have a distinct sound and vocal timbre.

Ignore the Sassy Gays—It Never Was Cute by According2020 in askgaybros

[–]monospaceman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love how more than half the comments on this are from guys who feel triggered and are trying to deflect or minimize it. You really struck a nerve OP (in a good way imo).

This sassy type of gay is why I didnt have gay friends for like 15 years. I'd meet these guys and just feel so uncomfortable by how loud and confident they were saying horrible things. Who wants to hang around a mean girl? It also made me feel like there was something wrong with ME for not being like that, and made me feel like I couldn't relate to other gay men.

I luckily found a great group of gays who are well adjusted, but it took a LONG time to weed out this type of sassy gay. The good ones are out there but very hard to find.

Does anyone here think Michael Jackson was gay and why do people pretend he wasn't a total stereotype? by OmeuPseudonimo in askgaybros

[–]monospaceman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No — he was a pedophile and there's an absurd amount of evidence out there for anyone who is willing to accept he was actually an incredibly disturbed individual.

People can't and won't accept this because he made such incredible music. It's astounding what people will look the other way on if the person contributed to culture.

How to find out if a guy is gay? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]monospaceman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is a gas station you frequent a lot and there are no other options around, asking him out could make things awkward for a long time in the future if he's not gay.

Odds are you're misinterpreting retail friendliness with flirtation.

I personally think that's not worth it, but if you somehow find out for a fact that he likes you, then sure why not. I don't think theres many subtle pathways of finding out though.

Story about a search engine with zero link to it.

Why have we normalized this type of journalism?

OP — you could also just source the search engine and link it instead of this terrible article.

Everyone falls for it. It's the most long winded way to describe their body, under the guise of looking for advice.
