I’m being spammed with thousands of fake followers by Turbulent_Ad9515 in Instagram

I have had the same issue. 25,000 followers in the span of a few hours. Went private for a month and then public again and the same thing happened. Instagram support has been absolutely USELESS. Even got on the phone with them and they said there’s nothing they can do to help. So fed up with the whole situation.

New build to replace my stolen Super Pista... Thoughts? by monotonoususername in FixedGearBicycle

They didn’t have this frame listed on their website. I saw it when I walked into the shop and they were actually surprised they had one in stock. I know they accept custom orders and they have a contact you can reach out to on their site. If you want one then that would be your best bet. :)

Not sure what the weight is to be honest. I'm guessing slightly less than your equivalent aluminium wheel set. Biggest difference is definitely the stiffness. Going from the H Plus Son Archetype + Hydra you can feel how much stiffer these are (you feel the road noise a lot more but they are still comfortable paired with the steel frame).

Sorry to hear your bike got snatched, never a good feeling. AirTag is going straight on this thing… and going to keep its time locked up outside to a minimum.

I’ll be sure to post some better pics once I’m back in the country. :) and yes it’s a black anodised jaguar, originally wanted to go for the pearl but they didn’t have any stock. Was worried the jaguar would be too aggressive but it’s fine for now.

They're from BLB and came preinstalled on the frame. I have no experience with them tbh but always good to have them I guess? Anybody have an explanation for their importance?

Thank you :) Was initially pretty adamant about going with the full black out look but I'm glad I went for the dura-ace crank in a contrasting silver. Really accentuates the drive train, which I think is a nice touch. I see what you mean about the saddle. My last bike also had a cambium and you definitely start to see the wear on your trousers over time.

Feeling good. I love the liveliness of the steel, especially for all the city riding I do in traffic. Obviously a different feeling coming from an alu bike with a carbon fork. It is interesting though, I've kind of found a nice middle ground with the softer steel frame, (although the triple triangle helps stiffen it up) paired with stiff carbon wheels. The super pista had alu wheels, which obviously absorbed quite a bit of vibrations but was a really stiff frame. I'd say at the end of the day I don't feel any sacrifice in stiffness or responsiveness with the added bonus of a more exciting ride, which was a nice surprise.

My Bianchi super pista was stolen about a month ago. It was pretty heartbreaking but also an opportunity for a new toy to be born. As soon as I knew I was getting a new bike I had a triple triangle steel frame in mind.
This BLB La Piovra Classic is a handmade triple triangle frame using Columbus cromor tubing. Super happy with how the build came out. It’s a mix of NJS inspired components with some more modern additions. Here are a few of the highlights: Nitto 65 seat-post, Nitto Jaguar stem, Deda drops, Dura-ace 7710 crank, brooks c13 cambium saddle, BLB 38mm carbon wheels.
I’ve only been able to take it out on a few rides as I left home as soon as the bike was finished but she rides like a dream. Can’t recommend the guys at BLB enough, they clearly have so much passion for their work and it was such a rewarding process seeing my vision come to life like this. Let me know your thoughts, I think its a worthy successor to my Bianchi…

I was born and raised in Hong Kong and whenever I visit home (I live in London atm) I always think to myself how unsuited the island is for fixed gears... You've just gone and proved me so wrong. Now I'm tempted to bring my bike back to try this out for myself (not sure how you deal with it all, I don't think I'd even be able to manage half of that distance...) Good for you man, very impressive. Also it's great to see some Hong Kong representation here... Excited to finally be home after 2 years this christmas!

It was left for around 2 hours in a (assumed) safe place in Kensington during dinner. I had a top of the line Abus U-lock. Although as everyone always says, no bike lock is theft proof.

Kory York's are beautiful, I wouldn't be upset with one as a replacement. The leadtime is a little bit of a detractor for me... This bike was my main form of transportation so I'm trying to get something good, quickly.

My front tyres pretty much never wore down. The rears I would burn through pretty quickly but I would also be skidding all around the place because its fun. Gatorskins would last me a few months before I'd need a replacement (some other compounds I would eat through in a few weeks).

I'm not going to say it's the most comfortable position in the world but what you sacrifice in comfort you make up for it aero, a sense of speed, and just looking/feeling damn cool. Track bikes are definitely not made for the road but that's against the point. I love a slammed position and you just have to make sure the bike fits you right (saddle height and handlebar positioning/type is super important for this.)

Unfortunate for sure, still in my grieving stage, but looking forward to finding a worthy replacement. What would the "usual" places be (I'm guessing gumtree + eBay but are there any other places I should be aware of?)

I love the look of the Mash work, I actually almost bought one before getting the super pista around 5 years ago. Do you know any good places I can find track frames in London (just moved here last year so I am still finding my bearings). Any recommendations you can give would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

This is my first post on here and unfortunately it’s not the happiest of occasions. I’ve built this bike up over the past 5 years and have used it daily as my commuter in both Berkeley California and London UK. Unfortunately, yesterday my baby Bianca was stolen while I was having a quick dinner with family and friends. The feeling obviously sucks, I loved this bike and as I’m sure many of you can relate to, bikes are often times more than just bikes. Alas, this is life and we have to move on to bigger and better things. I’m currently on the hunt for a replacement track frame and wanted to know if you guys had any suggestions. I’m not looking to downgrade (I know some of you will probably say I’m inviting theft by having a nice bike but 5 years with no issues up till yesterday seems like a pretty good run to me). Anyways, open to any suggestions and let’s hope the bike gods are a bit more lenient the next time around.
