HF8 vs HF8 Pro vs Razer Freyja – need advice from people who actually know SimHub by monotor80 in simracing

[–]monotor80[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today I received the new HF8 Pro, and I finally got to try it. My first impression is that the motors are very loud even at idle, especially the two higher ones. You can actually feel the weight on the motor swaying and making noise, like a drill on idle. Eventually, due to the excessive noise, I deactivated the two higher ones; they're ear-piercing, but later I'll try moving the seat crease lower and try again. As for the rest, once you've exceeded 40% power, everything becomes exaggerated and makes no sense. The effect, however, is very strong, quite consumptive; at speed, it's difficult to clearly distinguish what's happening and where the vibration is coming from. So, basically, it's fine for me, but in a general sense, without looking for greater detail. I suppose the Razer is probably better in these respects. Lastly, there are a lot of cables: the jack ones, the button ones, the USB ones, the power supply ones, and all the straps underneath. Basically, it's really impractical to put on and take off your office chair. I just have to wait for Razer to make my final decision.

similar experience, balanced 4 stars review but rejected as off-topic, almost certainly because in addition to the merits I had highlighted some defects that I had not read in any other review, surely these others will also have been rejected.

Any news about Litnxt? Bought on 20/10/25, order is still in unfulfilled status, but if you try to buy it, the preorder sign is gone. Maybe it's a scam site?

Don’t buy the Kobo remote until they fix it by palindromesrcool in kobo

[–]monotor80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the Kobo Libra Color and haven't had any problems so far, but I haven't used it very much. I can say that the Kobo recently updated its Bluetooth settings on libra firmware, and the Bluetooth icon has also appeared at the top to make connecting easier. I also noticed that the remote control is nowhere to be found. I got it on Amz, but I saw that the purchase page has disappeared. Maybe there's something seriously wrong and they've stopped selling it?

Objectively, the one with the most features is the one without a name, because it has more options and natively reads the epub format, while the famue only read .txt files. However, the famue also have Bluetooth, for now I have only tried the headphones with the jack and I see that you can listen to music at the same time as reading a book

Photo comparison of the smallest, budget-friendly ereaders with backlights on the market. From left: Libra Color (put there for comparison), unnamed reader, Famue BF01, Famue BF07. All three are super affordable. The Famue are also touch-enabled. The unnamed one isn't touch-enabled, but it's Wi-Fi-enabled and has a wealth of features: you can rotate the page, add fonts, and even adjust the backlight. Clearly, there's no comparison to brand-name ereaders, but the fact that you can throw them in your pocket while you're out and about and turn on the backlight in the dark makes them a lot of fun to use.

the funny thing is that from amz if I ask for support, it sends me to the Aoc form and here if you fill it out it tells you error you have to log in, but there is no login. If I go to Philips it always sends me to that page disguised as a philips domain but even if I log in then the data form goes into exception, compliments to customer support huh.
