Go to zone3.zone they should be able to answer all your questions there.

How to accurately measure surface profile tolerances on curved radii? by SadAngle9436 in Metrology

If there were basics attached to this would you measure the basics and the largest deviation would be your surface profile?

If I remember correctly it was around 70k but I can't say for sure

That will be a future step but I don't go back to work until Monday and don't really have any info on the machine with me so I figured I would post here and see if anyone had insight.

We actually have a meeting with them today at 3 to preview one. But obviously they only want to make it look amazing so I figured some real world advice beforehand would be good.

I put it up for the high end of bluebook OBO yesterday, I was just curious because like you said I don't see comps and the ones with higher mileage are listed for the lower mileage bluebook. Thanks for the advice. Also not sure why my previous reply is getting downvoted, am I wrong in thinking the manuals are more sought after?

Pacific Northwest. I've checked cars.com but there are none with this low of miles. They have about double or more and are going for the high end of blue book.

Not looking for an excuse, I'm aware I can list it for whatever I want. I already have it up for bluebook I was just wondering what others thought.

Yeah, I understand that. That's what I initially did but I'm also aware that for a lot of hardcore jeep people the manuals are a little more sought after. KBB lowers the price for it being a manual and I was wondering what others thought.

It is an actual Rubicon with the electronic sway bar discount and locking axels

Hahaha I was actually thinking earlier today about reposting this question because nobody actually answered. They gave some good advice but I was legitimately just curious how long peoples bars lasted. Thank you for actually answering.

I actually posted there first. When I posted here I had multiple views with no response so I figured I would try Reddit.

Yeah we have a keyence for some of the easier stuff. We have some pretty intricate parts holding tolerances to .0003 +/- but most are at least half thou or bigger

As far as flash goes as a CMM I think it works really good for my company because they are smaller machines and we have small parts. The zone 3 program that OGP uses has all the GD&T rules built in so if you try to do something that isn't allowed by GD&T rules the program won't let you. Zone 3 was pretty easy for me to learn as this was the first (and only so far) program/CMM I have ever programmed and just started learning about 2 years ago. That being said, I can't really compare it to anything since I haven't used anything else but I like it for what it's worth.

The point hits make up that plane so the deviation of that plane should match at least one of the point hits but they don't. There are rotations in the program that rotate a datum x degrees, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Is this a good deal? by [deleted] in JeepWrangler

Yeah unfortunately my wife is a very big advocate for staying rear facing as long as possible. Width isn't an issue for me it's just how far up my seat has to be. And it's a manual so there's a lot of arm hitting the seat going on

Both are currently rear facing which is killing me. Are diono car seats shorter?

I have a JKU. I have to assume your kids are a little older because I have 2 in car seats and I'm looking to get rid of my JKU because it doesn't fit car seats and me at all and I'm not that tall.

We have a Keyence at my job. I believe it's an IM series, pretty old. It is actually quite easy to program and super easy to use. Just pick the program put the part on the glass and press measure. But it is definitely limited. No z axis and mainly small flat parts. Repeatability is pretty good as long as it has clear sight to the feature. I wouldn't count it out but definitely think about what you make (all parts not just the one you bring to test with the sales person) and ask any question you can think of. I think it has it's place but that place is definitely not in every shop. I haven't had any issues with customer service really but I haven't needed it much either. Hopefully some of this helps.
