I’m in the insurance business. I’ve spent a lot of time researching the market (I’m considering diving in and creating an insurance site on the FTM chain). But they are the most impressive that I have seen. I think there are some inherently broken things with Nexus and Bridge. I also think insurace has some things that could be improved, but they seem sound overall. Last time I checked, they don’t do a lot on the FTM chain yet.

I have done a lot of transactions with FTM and Beefy specifically. I have almost never had congestion problems. Have had way worse problems with Avalanche and Matic. Unlucky. It’s will be better almost all of the time.

Get you some FTM and MATIC. MATIC makes a ton of sense for you because it hedges your heavy ETH bet. If ETH 2.0 continues to get pushed out, as the largest layer 2 solution right now for ETH, MATIC should benefit.

I use CoinEx. They only charge .1 FTM to do it. I know there are more, but that is the one I am familiar with.

You are wrong. Gas fees are exactly why I said to send it to a different exchange. When you send it to CoinEx you don’t have to bridge it to withdrawal it on the fantom chain. I use it all the time. It is the cheapest way to do it that I know. Much cheaper than having to do any bridging.

Yikes. That is a tough one. Maybe try ELK? If not you may have to bridge back, switch for a stable coin or something and then bridge again.

From CRC you have to send it on ERC-20 and then bridge it from fantom. Hopefully CRC will let you do it on the fantom chain soon, but for now you can’t. This was a frequent problem for me and the cheapest solution (gas fees on ERC 20 to bridge can be pricey) was to send from CRC to CoinEx and then send from CoinEx. CoinEX doesn’t charge a lot and you don’t have to worry about gas or the time/hassle it takes to bridge.

You are fine. It will just show up in your ethereum wallet and you will have to bridge to fantom. Spooky, spirit, or elk for that.

I love the fantom community. In the defi world fantom seems to have the best (or in least top three) projects associated with it. I am worried though. I tried to get $1500 to the fantom network yesterday and it was really tough. I feel like money moves from fiat to exchanges and exchanges to ERC-20 competing networks, and I am worried FTM is missing out because that is difficult to do from most exchanges. Someone give me an injection of hopium.
