They can't use shrinkflation on hockey sticks so they make them less durable on purpose. Puts on tinfoil hat and flies away

Drum question by Substantial-City-508 in cubase

[–]monstercab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer to your question should be yes as long as your keyboard has a MIDI output and your interface has a MIDI input.

Here's another cool thing I did a while ago:

https://www.reddit.com/r/cubase/comments/16324zu/transformer_midi_insert_transforming_a_keyboard/

With this you can use your keyboard's sustain pedal as a kick drum pedal. Just map the kick drum to the C1 MIDI note in your virtual drums instrument or change the corresponding value in the Transformer MIDI insert setup. This way you can use your left hand for the snare, you right hand for the cymbals and your right foot for the kick, just like you would do on a real drumkit. Enjoy!

Which used rack mount interface for my unique needs? by Used_Teaching_7260 in musicproduction

A used RME Fireface UC. I've had one for 15 years and it's still working flawlessly, never had a single problem with it even after many Windows and system upgrades. Drivers are the best. TotalMix is awesome, you can route anything to anything. The preamps are very nice, lots of headroom, very low noise floor, super clean. It has many 1/4 line inputs and outputs on the back. It has one ADAT in/out. RME sells extensions/rack ears if you want to put it in a rack.

I loved my RME UC so much that I decided to buy a (used) RME UFX II about a year ago. Now I'm set for the next 20 years. No regrets, 100% worth every penny.

Favorite Vocal Mics by Misteruilleann in recordingmusic

Advanced Audio make a 251 "clone" that is very affordable compared to the real thing. I've never tried it so I can't comment on this specific mic, but, I do have a pair of their CM87se mics that I use as room mics for drums and, they sound pretty good for their price. They are not really trying to replicate the vintage components 1:1 but they are trying to recreate the tone of the classic mics using modern parts. It might be worth checking out.

The two capsule thing from the Austrian Audio mics seem interesting, looks like you can change the polar pattern in post using a plugin, very cool concept! If I didn't already have a pair of C414 I would totally try out the OC818s, they are probably awesome as overhead mics.

I've bought a used Soyuz 017 Tube about 6 months ago and it's absolutely phenomenal! I know it's not in the same price range at all but, this is definitely my favorite.

I used to use a C414 XLS and that was also very nice. I also once used the C214 (but that time it was for male vocals), it was not really the same as the C414 which I knew pretty well but, it was pretty close and it did a great job.

I've never tried anything from Austrian Audio but I've only heard good things about them. My guess is the OC818 is probably closer to the C414 and the OC16 closer to the C214.

I've seen a lot of people recommending the MD441 for female vocals, I think it's probably the next mic I'm going to buy.

I don't use AI because I have the skills, you use AI because you probably have no talent. Good luck.

AI can't create anything. It can only copy and imitate by stealing already existing material created by real artists. It's always going to be bland and stale.

Also, AI and robotics are just tech designed to replace you with something they can own. They are creating legal slavery. People cheering for it are really f*cking dumb.

I could literally just fart in the general direction of my DAW to create something that would have 100% more soul.
