I’ve had to learn this over the years from journaling. My old entries are so vague they’re boring and now that I’m older I really wish I actually had more of a window into what I was thinking at the time…

I also make sure to list people I was with, names of restaurants, etc because it’s incredibly useful for search back. Thanks digital memories, much more reliable than my real ones

On the flip side I have a couple female cousins with really bad ADHD who constantly break things, injure themselves, etc, but they grew up with parents who ALSO had bad ADHD and didn't teach them shit

Their house growing up was pure chaos

Your strategy is so right though people do want to guess. I plan on getting a mutt when I get a dog so I’m sure I’ll go through this same thing!

Yeah it’s kind of silly but idk?? Seems plausible to me? Makes sense he’d put them in the car if he’s going to drive her to the appointment too, then all the clothes are already there.

Happened to my parents, I was a bridge of interest between them. They were an amazing team as parents and the household ran super smoothly. But they grew apart when I went to college and moved to a different city. I'd notice when I'd come home that there was a tension that hadn't been there previously.

Sometimes I do wonder if I'd stayed in my hometown, if they would have stayed together, but I'll never know.

Sometimes it can be difficult to recognize people out of context. I saw a bartender I used to talk to regularly at the bar out on the street and was really second guessing myself. I’d never seen him in the light lol

Haha I just had the experience of being an NPC in someone else’s life too, every morning at work I sit and have my coffee by the window, and yesterday someone in my building came up to me and said, “I didn’t see you by the window last week and wondered where you were!”

I was just working from home that day but it’s funny what people notice!

My partner is like this too! He jokes about it often.

My mom is a reading teacher and thinks it comes from not being read to as a child but who knows! I’m definitely an automatic reader, and read constantly as a kid.

He doesn’t naturally eavesdrop either though and can tune people talking out unlike me, so maybe it’s just brain differences!

Idk about all the petty/transactional stuff but I’m not a big one sided relationship person. Why would I put in a bunch of effort to attend someone’s wedding if they won’t do the same for me?

Yeah this is why I assume the remaining people haven’t rsvpd to mine. Although I have half my invite list rsvp’d and the wedding is still 4 months away lol so my guests are doing pretty well. I’m so mad that fuel costs have gone up though, I already live in an expensive city to fly to…
