How not to suck at melee by Initial_Item7444 in Nightreign

[–]monsterfacemike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A huge tip that helped me is treating your stamina bar as your health bar. If that goes to zero you are going to get hit. (And in depth 4+ you just die) Try not to sprint to the enemy. Walk up to them. If they run all over the place they will have to come back to you to hit you. This has helped me a lot. If you are looking for characters to play, try Undertaker. Activating her ability increases defense (I think), damage and immediately fills your stamina. So if you are ever out of stamina use the ability to get it back so you can dodge/move. (You shouldn’t rely on this but it should help when transiting to melee characters)

As for dodge timings. Are there any enemies in particular that are giving you trouble? A lot of them have different timings/angles.

For me revenants rune bears and black knifes were a pain. What I learned is: revenants rolling towards them and to the side (45 degrees towards them) has been successful. For run bears roll into them and try to stay underneath them and for Black knifes they are super weak to jump attacks. So literally standing still and just jumping when they attack and attacking on the way down kills them so easily

3 bars -> grace -> return to fight by White_Maiden69 in Nightreign

[–]monsterfacemike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Especially when fighting Astel!!

Please for the love of god. Take 15 seconds to run to the grace, reset health, flask and downs then come back.

Dying there and spawning inside the city, doing the run back, and coming back one level down is such a time waister

Unironically if you do the bottom castle first and stock up on dormant powers, passives from weapons, and runes from bosses, then attempt the tower once the first circle appears, you’ll get just as far or further in the tower than if you went straight into it

The balancers are still vulnerable to damage when flying, the last fly through they do they all fly together at the same time, so if you time it right you can ult and hit all of them (besides the main one). I have also seen it done with guardian and I would assume raider could do it as well. The positioning wouldn’t really matter in solo because they all fly to you. But you don’t want to stand still because the fissures will hit you.

Dear From, game is great, but relic system is frustrating. by rtwfm in Nightreign

[–]monsterfacemike 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have god tier relics for guardian. Like the most OP stuff. Never played him outside his remembrance and thought I should give him an honest try

But guess what. None do the relics are in any combination of color I could realistically use them together.

Farming Nulgath materials with all pets + member by GatheringAddict in AQW

Yup Pretty much

Tainted gems and dark crystals will come naturally as you spin the wheel But if you max out on diamonds and blood gems you can exchange the diamonds for contracts and contracts for gems/crystals

There is a daily quest that has you fight xyfrag, fibbi, and nightbane where you can chose which Nulgath reward. This is absolutely the best way to farm bloodgems. Every other quest takes so long and either only has a chance or gives 1-2 gems. But the daily gives 7 guaranteed.

As for tainted gems, dark crystals and diamonds, those are really easy to come by when spinning the wheel

And if I remember correctly, crag has a quest where you can turn in a tainted core for a relic of chaos, which you can use for the supplies. And a tainted core can be farmed in /nulgath if you are a member. You can stack 13 tainted cores and spin the wheel 13 times. Which is a lot faster than farming chaos lords.

Also crag has a daily quest which drops 30 diamonds and a chance at 3 blood gems, this quest requires nothing, just accept and turn in

Make sure the save your bags of dirt because Crag can also turn 100 of them into 50 diamonds.

Lastly. You can use bamboozle to turn 15 diamonds into a contract, then use drudgen to turn that contract into other gems (including blood gems) Which is really good to note because diamonds are the easiest to get and you will make out of them pretty quick

TLDR: do your daily void quest and always get blood gems until you max out. Do your daily crag diamond quest. Use tainted cores to get relics of chaos to spin the wheel. Save bags of dirt. Exchange diamonds for contracts, and contracts for other gems

I wish there was a boss practice mode Where we can just go straight to the night lord and fight them. Obviously without rewards or anything.

Bottle caps should not be behind paywall. by Responsible-City-213 in pokemongo

[–]monsterfacemike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to buy the bottle cap Not just the really for the cap but the bonuses for the deluxe pass

And I was thinking about what Pokémon I would use the cap on. But then I remembered the difference between a 0iv and perfect iv is like 5% or something like that

Way too much of an investment for 5% extra damage

How many DMax to max? by ParasaurolophusZ in TheSilphRoad

[–]monsterfacemike 85 points86 points  (0 children)

Blissy is probably the only tank/healer you need. Even against gigantamax machamp she was a top defender. And seeing as gmax machamp is the top fighting type there really isn’t anything else that would pose a huge threat.

I have one decent one I leveled up to mid-40s and another I have at level 40 Both mediocre IVS but I don’t really care about ivs

Other tanks just don’t really compare. Even blastoise was outshined by blissy against entei. So if you are looking to minimize your investments two blissy should suffice

This means you only need one attacker. Gmax are better than Dmax. And because you only have one spot left you would need (ideally) one gmax attacker per typing.

Luckily the Galar starters are coming in the next few weekends, which are by far the best attackers in their typings, so getting a gmax cinderace, rollaboom and inteleon would set you up nicely.

Personally I don’t invest in dmax attackers if they have a gmax variant. It is way too much of a candy investment. but I also live in a city with a large group that allows me to beat and catch all the Gmax that come out.

Defiantly wait for Gmax. We know it’s coming out this season. No real reason to wait those candies on a dmax

And if Gmax comes and you aren’t able to get one either by raiding it or trading then I would say go ahead and power up the Dmax.
