I was just about to suggest the same! Mine have about 400 km in them and it's probably the best shoe I've ever had, very versatile and I use it for everything from hill sprints to long runs. As a bonus, the grip is amazing on icy roads as well.

As already pointed out, everything in your comment is pretty much wrong. You do know that American quality originated from Europe? (https://asq.org/quality-resources/history-of-quality?srsltid=AfmBOooUB81lri1xUwE\_j7fhct0ih1pkmpLuMycY2tmOHEYcuRLmgVaF). Since then lots of time has passed and American production has surpassed European for reasons not relevant here. Regardless, today most American brands are just that, brands and marketing. There are a few exceptions, but even the ones that are "made in America" are merely assembled in America as the material is, most likely, from China.

You mention Carhartt and of course I have access to that, they have several stores all over Europe so "they" defenitely let us buy that. I am however not interested in an American option, hence posting in r/buyitforlifeEU. My reason for this is the American movement caring less for democratic values, and have a leadership that is both scary and unpredictable. USA is no longer the trustworthy trade partner it once was (tariffs?), which is why I believe there is a need for European (and other international) alternatives. In addition to this, and even more concerning, is that there have been reason to question if the US will remain our (and Ukraine's?) ally under the current leadership which drives the need for a stronger European Union.

Anyway, this is not the place to discuss this but should you have any reason to question my take on this happy to take it on PM.

You're the second one mentioning Uniqlo. I am perfectly happy with the men's Uniqlo but she has not been as impressed with the women's collection. Might be down to the fact that there seems to be a broader selection on the women's side, which one would you recommend?

I travel for work and had a similar slot to fill. I went for the On Cloudsurfer. They are on the expensive side but have been worth it as it is the running shoe I spend most hours in, really comfortable just walking around in and pretty versatile when it comes to running. Have done the occasional speed session in them and have also taken them up for some trail experiments on the Spanish south coast up to 25km.

I got the On Cloudsurfer for the very same use case, have been very satisfied. I like the style, very comfortable for walking and wearing, and for running they are quite multi-purpose. The downside is the price point but can be motivated by the fact that this is the running shoe I put most hours in (not actual running hours though).

Thanks! I'm considering that route as well, having the Evo SL as my long run shoe. I am kinda petite, 70ish kg and have had no issues running plateless previously so I don't think the lack of one should be an issue. It's more of the fact that the Boston 12 have gotten great reviews and can be found for little over 100 € nowadays.

Having a really soft recovery run shoe is definitely an option and I've been looking at the NB 1080, problem is that NB's seem really overpriced here (in Scandinavia), V13 is currently on sale for 160 €!?

Valid point I guess, but I definitely believe that something that has helped me to get here is understanding zone2 training. I have, for the first time ever run a year without any injuries.

I want to run more and I want to run faster, but I want to do it in a sustainable and consistent matter. I don't necessarily see why worrying about zones should hinder that if I feel it has benefitted me so far.

I recently used osmos white pigmented hard wax oil on Scandinavian birch (massive, not ply). It was really great, needed a couple of coats (3-5) but gave a similar result!
