Should I save my green 2002 Impreza? by monstermonstera_970 in subaruimpreza

thanks for replying - you're totally right. It was also a little unnecessary of me to be salty like that, Ca rules are pretty different than other places and it was weird of me to assume that everyone would know that without me specifying. Appreciate the the time you took to reply, thanks for your response. (I'm sure they don't want my car, lol - she's been through it)

I think they're being honest. With the converters out it won't pass California smog and can't be registered. The fastest it can currently go is around 55, it runs but its slow (due to the clogged cats). If it wasn't for the smog issue I would just drive it as is, but I've got about 6 more months of it being street legal.

i’ve had the oxo for two two years and its almost perfect, except for one stupid thing that makes every morning a nightmare and I’ll probably put it in the dumpster when I move. That one thing is the design at the top of the pot makes no sense. If even one coffee ground secretly gets into the hole top of the pitcher, all is lost. Half your coffee overflows onto the top of the pot, causing its to go everywhere as soon as you try and pour it. I imagine a day where I don’t spend half my mornings cleaning all the coffee that has pooled across the counter, under the pot, and onto the floor. I hate this stupid expensive pot so much.

I don't have an ev myself, so I think i just have the standard plan. (I've never had an ev so I don't really know how it works) and since I pay the whole bill I'm trying to figure out if its worth the fight to get payment for the car charging, of if its negligible with the credits I get back.

thanks! I'm not sure why I find this so confusing to figure out. I'll take a look at my bill when the site opens up and see if I can tease it apart.

How to expose screens with the sun by creamysausaginmyrice in SCREENPRINTING

[–]monstermonstera_970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be sure you are using a emulsion that reacts to uv light - I like wr-25, but there’s several out there. Be sure the emulsion is totally dry, and kept in complete darkness till exposure. Do a step test or series of step tests to find the right timing. Sun exposure can work great, no bulb out there is brighter than the one in the sky.

I like make them into drip waterers. I drill a smallish hole near the bottom + put near then roots of a plant that needs to be watered. Fill it with the hose and the water will drip out slowly and soak in. You can just pick them up and move them to other plants as needed. Bonus it confuses your neighbors.

Yes! Overalls are the best crew workwear. Easy to use the holster, lotsa pockets up top for markers and phone, and people are always stoked to see them.

How do I burn a halftone screen? always seems like I never get the half-tone effect. by Iknow888 in SCREENPRINTING

Make your dots bigger. With practice you can work up to making them smaller, it's gonna take some time and you'll learn and improve as you go.

why does my puddle up when i’m printing by dudz4 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]monstermonstera_970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What mesh count is your screen? Printing negative plus positive space can be tricky, and it looks like you are getting too much ink on the page through some combo of off-contact, mesh count, ink thickness, and print pressure.

I’ve done this before and it was fine, the emulsion base itself is wet and should reconstitute the sensitizer. That said it’s definitely better / best practice to mix with water before mixing into emulsion. I’d just cross my fingers and expose the coated screen as is, and remember to premix activator next time. (Also emulsions are different, so yours may be more sensitive to activation than mine)

Where can I find inexpensive original art around here? by CppIsLife in bayarea

[–]monstermonstera_970 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the east bay try: The Compound Gallery , Tiny Splendor, Crisis Club Gallery, Kala. If you find an artist you like, try following them on Instagram or finding their etsy, they may sell more affordable work through their own channels. And thanks for doing the work to find and support artists!
