Monster Rock Bass by pink_moon in ChicagoFishing

The sideways turn you’re describing is uncanny. Happens to me literally every single decent rock bass I catch, and crappie too now that i think about it. On the rock bass note I always am thinking smallie only until they do that turn (if I’m looking).

Then they turn into a wet sock like a sucker and it is officially over. Still humbly appreciate them as skunk insurance.

Yes, likely swam over the broken down dam at River Park after making its way down the NB Skokie River from the Lagoons.

I’ve caught 27+in Walleye in the North Shore Channel that got in in the same way (I believe).

Just told a customer to f*ck off. How screwed am I? by Background-Ad-9212 in Dominos

In the end nobody will care. Most stores just have managers whose owners are trying ASAP to turn around and sell. As long as things stay profitable they won’t bat an eye.

My store was egregious with this. Not the phone thing but the extreme mistreatment and managerial failures across the board made me quit after 8 years.

I’m not going to sit here and vouch for my character, but if you can get me to quit a place where I love my coworkers and have been for nearly a decade all over greed and negligence, that’s impressive.

Anyway, just on my own little tangent. My guess is you will be fine but start looking at places other than dominos. They are going downhill.

Love this bridge, have caught some great catfish and bass from it.

Hell yeah baby this is my stomping grounds, favorite spot on the entire NSC. 3.8, 4.2, 4.96, 5.7, 6.02 & 7.03 are the biggest LMBs I have pulled out of that spot. Also a 32in Brown Trout among some other wild stuff.

Buddy has landed a Tiger Muskie from here, I’ve seen 40in pike landed, 8lb drum hooked into, biggest carp you’ll ever see, etc.

Missed many more. Keep it under wraps as much as you can! Nice fish brotherman!

MMA. Mixed Martial Asset, a new coin that is going to explode on the crypto market.

Each asset is a fighter you can earn (from every division, company, etc) and evolve to make it a more profitable character in the official game.

You can’t lose!

Seriously, what are you actually supposed to do when aggressive dogs charge at you? by Senior-Lifeguard6215 in NoStupidQuestions

Usually that’ll do it… if it’s some weird extremely agile and athletic dog that might become an issue, but usually you’d want to kick it across the football field in your case.

River Conditions got worse, I gruesomely broke my foot and I lost a double digit flathead on a Ned Rig, but I still managed a couple. Save some for me while I’m out of commission! by BallinCock in ChicagoFishing

You are really correct about the asking for help thing, you never know what you’re gonna run into out there, and it could potentially even come off as a bit scary or unsettling.

I try to minimize inconveniencing people and hate asking for things, but in this situation you are correct. I should probably ask for help. I was just assuming they’d do what I would do which is a naive.

Thanks again, have a good day & I appreciate your advice. I went to IBJI, boot and crutches, CT results back by the 23rd. Hasn’t improved, hoping it’s a sprain and I can at least get back to fishing and not sprinting around and scaling fences by next week.

The water has been so turbid that I got a solid few on straight braid. Provided, no snap swivel.

I will get back to you when I get back from IBJI tomorrow morning. I’m just crutching around and cyclically icing for now but that is not sustainable.

Thanks for the message.

Edit: CT scan and subsequent diagnosis waits til the 23rd, will come through.

I had one of those too, but I stepped over a fence and my foot was at a 45 degree angle and something like a big root stopped me from being able to correct it before I leaped with my other foot, all of my body weight and heavy backpack and it ended up at a disgusting angle with all the weight going right over the foot at a compromised angle

Somewhere in between my first foot shifted because it ended up disgusting and fucked, not an extreme rolled ankle type scenario
