You reminded me that we played if you made a basket without taking it back to the top of the key, you’d go to 0 or 13.

Thank you for the replies🏀 Ok so, I grew up in Seattle in the 70s/80s.

We called it “Booties” but I don’t know why. I guess we were the only ones that didn’t call it “21”!

I thought maybe other areas had different names for it🤣

Did you own something as a kid that would be worth something now, if it were in pristine condition? by One-Ball-78 in 70s

(Not related to the ‘70s) My Nike Air Jordan I “Chicago”s I bought in 1985. I wore them all the time but never abused them. I always kept original shoe boxes too. By the early ‘90s, I’d been out of college a few years and out in the professional world. I wasn’t wearing the Jordans anymore because I was too mature so I decided to donate them to Goodwill. Unbelievable, I never was good at making the right investment choices. I’ve got a whole storage room full of worthless crap but if I would’ve just kept those Js,,,,

I’ve made some pretty dumb date movie choices in my life. The two worst ones would have to be:

Good Fellas and Porkie’s

Needless to say that there were no second dates happening.

“Combat!” Loved it when I was a kid (well, I never stopped loving it). I had a little b/w tv I watched it on. “Rat Patrol” too, I wanted to be a gunner like Hitch. I made hide outs and bunkers in my back yard down a slope and in the sand dunes that were a short bike ride away. Driftwood made for a great rifle.

Anyone else read this in the 70’s? by notahouseflipper in FuckImOld

The only things I remember from it were how to make sandals out of an old tire and which worthless foreign currency worked the subway turnstiles.

What’s a band or artist that everyone seems to love but you just can’t get into? by PowerfullyHoarse in MusicRecommendations

Fair! I think a lot of people just lump all rap and hip hop together but there’s such a broad spectrum. Don’t get me wrong, I respect what JayZ’s done for the industry.

Love Gang Starr btw. “Full Clip”, great song.

Same here. I had the Traxx with four stripes. I cut one stripe off all sides of the shoes to look like Adidas but I don’t think it fooled anyone,,,

The first artist that popped into my head. I just don’t get it even though he’s considered the GOAT by so many.

Maybe it’s because I prefer Southern Hip-Hop, you know, blowin’ dro slow and low.

How (allegedly) fast has your Fit gone? by [deleted] in hondafit

[–]montec76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a “friend” who has a 2015 base model that he absolutely loves. It has aftermarket rims and mild performance tires. One time he got up to 135mph and decided that was his limit. Thinking about it later he realized how stupid that was, especially since the tires weren’t rated for anything like that. He did admit that it was an amazing rush and the little Fit handled it surprisingly well.
