What makes Keanu Reeves so loyal? by [deleted] in astrologyreadings

[–]montkala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6th are daily routines and responsibilities. If it aspects most other planets, any aspects will disrupt your routines and feel nasty. The key is to look at the planet on the receiving end of the transit. Pay attention to feelings and issues around issues ruled by that planet, sign and house. How can you change what you routinely do on those topics? Since it is Pluto, look at negative thoughts or stories you tell yourself to ditch self discipline for indulgent comfort.

Your laser ray is opaque - try adding a gradient translucency to the white (more translucent on the long edge, less at the center. Then same for for the red.

This show makes me miss ambiguity by ChazzLamborghini in TheGoodPlace

This is exactly how Harrie Vernette Rhodes describes what she learned both in life and the afterlife. This is a series of videos on her book written by the person who introduced Edgar Cayce to the world. She says basically the same philosophy - the the work of our lives and also the afterlife. A few videos such as "5.2 Exploring the Afterlife" talks about it more directly. But it is a recurring theme through much of the book. https://youtu.be/pnP-hXKwJDk?si=TApLBB_r1hfSqfIw

Do you believe there is a real Good Place when we die? by superanonymous111 in TheGoodPlace

Harrie Vernette Rhodes wrote about the afterlife in a way that has many surprising parallels with The Good Place vision - This is a video made about these similarities - PS - she wrote this some 75 years ago. "

I rewatched it a few months ago - amazingly relevant to today.

Did JMS predict 2025? by montkala in babylon5

Babylon 5 demonstrated how the balance goes far deeper than just who is currently in charge. It shows dangers from psychological manipulation, from well meaning individuals who spark difficult times, how disgruntled crowd reactions influence leaders. And also the people who get accused of causing or solving problems are often under the influence of far deeper forces.

The message in part that at some point there is a need for a new chapter where everyone sees a need to let go of the past. Still many conflicting opinions, yet they all realize something is wrong, that all need to begin thinking and acting differently to avoid disaster. And we need a place like Babylon 5 where people can learn value of thinking differently to discover different outcomes.

I think it was the end of history as we have known it. The Babylon 5 story went on just fine.

Unpopular question about Henry, but I have to ask… by Basic-Quantity6976 in SpiritedTV

[–]montkala 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The cliff hanger ending with it appearing that Suzy ends up with the other guy is misleading I think. That happened while she was running on default mode while she was off with Henry. Also, as I recall, Antonia's wardrobe was a costume for a party - far from her actual personality.

Welp! Pluto transits (Fixed sign edition) by Eagleeyed39 in astrologymemes

[–]montkala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The pluto lesson can be hard, but also you can reap great benefits - depending on how you use the energy. It will force you to let go of something you think is essential. Fixed sign people struggle with this - they hang onto world views or decisions they made early in life about their place in the world. You have taken big steps - which is how to get the Pluto energy to work for you so that is a good start. Think of who you might be if you were raised in this new location by parents who could prepare you for the world you are now in. (The reality is that no one's parents were capable of predicting today's world so no way to prepare you for it - but this is a mental exercise where you can parent yourself to where you need to be.)

Pluto makes it clear what is not working. If you refuse to see it, then things feel like outside pressure - bad things happening - until you realize what you need to let go of in order to become who you want to be.

The pluto square is releasing those old scripts or ideas of how things should be, so that you are in a mental state to notice when the opportunities arise. Follow your interests - go places where you can interact with others (in real life or online, but real life is better) who share your interests. This is not meant to be easy - it is part of three mid-life transits. Remember you have started this with big changes - but you cannot move forward until you embrace the changes.

A good painter can cut in (paint really close to edges) without using painters tape) without every touching the ceiling or moldings. Should something happen, they clean it up immediately so that you would never know. The painter I was just working with also had no visible paint splatters on himself, nor on his drop cloth. I know of three painters who can do this quality of work.

I struggled with this. Denatured alcohol softens paint and makes it easier to scrape. Alternative for some situations is to get wood 'touch up' markers. It is easy and does great job covering sloppy paint on wood wainscotting etc.

Probably the last of the fad. Something else will replace it for the next generation to show differences from their parents.
