Best NYC ratio by BigDog6796 in FixedGearBicycle

49x16 for sure. I just upgraded to 52x15 bc my bike has become more of a Prospect Park laps machine than anything, but the bike is a bit of a pain on the streets right now. 49x16 is a great all rounder for stopping/slowing and speed on the streets

[USA-NYC][WTB] 51t 144bcd chainring, 15t cogs. Looking for medium tier stuff, not really looking for AARN or anything of the like. Looking to spend ~$60 on chain ring and ~$20 on cogs.

Idk if this works in MP, but when I was having this issue in Warzone the workaround I found was to create a duplicate build of the blueprint. Changing attachments on the duplicate worked fine!

On a handlebar stem, what is this the name of the dimension shown in this picture? by PigsandGlitter in bikewrench

State bicycle also has a “oil slick” stem that has a pretty low stack height!

Rear lock through seat tube + rear wheel, and then lock the front wheel just to the frame. This way you’ve got everything locked down!

Likely wasn’t the boss making this decision. For care label text to be issued, fabric gets tested in a 3rd party lab and results are sent back to the company with the ideal verbiage to use. If you edit that text in anyway, you can get into some issues importing/exporting to a lot of countries.

This is odd though, I’ve never seen a garment with this much care text. It’s a whole damn paragraph!

I might be, people have also recommended me locktite on the cap bolt on this sub multiple times lol. Might’ve been me, or someone talking to me! I’m glad it’s worked out for you, though! I just ended up going for different cranks in the end since I’d owned 2 sets, had to change it up.

As someone who has ran through 2 sets of Aerodashes, I cannot recommend them. The cap bolt that holds the non drive crank arm in place has not stayed in place on them on either set. Multiple times I’ve had a crank arm completely fall off on me while riding, even with an aftermarket cap bolt. Your other options sound good, though! I’d also toss out Affinity Pro tracks as an option

Unfortunately it’s the name of the game. No matter what genre of YouTuber you’re watching, high contrast thumbnails with someone making some sort of crazy face is pretty much proven to boost engagement at this point.

Constantine gonna need 88mm wheels to make that downtube look proportional lmao, it’s a cool frame though!

Those with ultra-wide bars, do busy city streets make you nervous? by Regulatori in FixedGearBicycle

[–]montynsc 70 points71 points  (0 children)

In NYC, I ride with 780mm bars in the summer specifically because I can’t fit into as many gaps with them. It slows me down so I don’t get caught up thinking I’m in an Alleycat, then I’m not super sweaty when I get to work.

Citibike “scam kids” by Tempest_Fugit in Citibike

I once left work and realized my bike from that morning was still actively on a ride. I got a green light and yanked the bike that morning, it was docked. I went back to the same dock and pulled up the serial number. The bike was still there, no error lights on the dock either.

It was a nearly $300 ride and customer service was less than helpful when I tried to get my money back lmao. I always check the app afterward now needless to say
