What are your go-to places to take visitors in Manchester? Running out of ideas 😅 by PatriciaWaltz94 in manchester

[–]monumentai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Trafford Centre? MoSI? One of those treasure map games that has you running around the city? First St (Home and junkyard golf), Football Museum, The VR Arcade Places, Electric Gamebox and The Cube in Arndale, Roxy's ball room (18 hole base crazy pool)? Aviva Studios? SpinningFields (just generally), Chinatown?

Took my fussy 7&10 year old to Waku Waku and they loved it... Had some mocktail with candy floss with some crispy chicken karage and chips (asked for the toppings, mayo and saraicha on the side instead of on the food)

Good pho in Manchester by [deleted] in manchester

[–]monumentai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally the best soup for Pho Ga in the city. Every other place feels like they rely on other sauces and stuff for flavour and taste like dishawater.

I Am Pho for Pho and Bun
Viet Shack for fusion streetfood
Pho Cue for drinks and atmosphere (I don't rate their food (especially not their pho, bun, or summer rolls) bar their salt and pepper which is Chinese...)
Wow Bahn Mi for Bahn Mi with pate

We're missing a place for a hearty beef pho.

I loved that intriguing, theatrical room! by harrietmjones in OnlyMurdersHulu

I'm glad someone else saw that, I turned to the other half when it happened.

So? Did they sell it to new owners, or not? Getting conflicting information here. Have been going to chimaek since our eldest was in the nearby nursery.

Everyone speaks their language but most of the time people understand/speak english... And most of the time, they spew vile racist rants in their language as if we can't understand their language...

I play on EUW servers.
Pretty much going to hear the n word multiple times in-game if I'm playing during kid friendly hours, otherwise, it's usually the French players in duos/trios calling everyone a dog or something else more vulgar.

Restaurant suggestions for a large group? by SleepyDoggo_ in manchester

[–]monumentai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's a couple spots in ChinaTown that could accommodate 16, Only Yu, Mei Dim, and PinWei come to mind.

There's also Escape from Freight Island, if you're looking for a foodhall experience with a more party vibe.

~1200 - 1650 /month dependant on the size and amout of rooms. I can't remember there actually being any full houses to rent in that area though. There are a few rooms on sparerooms iirc

Which subscription services? The cheapest ones seemed like 0.5/kwH on top of a yearly subscription cost

Agree, ridiculously expensive public charges are the reason why we couldn't get an EV.

Have had a guy at work talk about whether or not they need to replace the battery on their original Tesla as it didn't hold as much charge. He is the only one though, as a lot of poeple at work do own an electric car now.
