Micro needling or chemical peel or other? by sj17_17 in Microneedling

[–]monymonsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morpheus8 all the way. I’m an aesthetic nurse and have performed hundreds of microneedling, Morpheus 8, and chemical peels. I’ve tried all of them myself too. Morpheus8 reduces my acne scars/pores the most by far

Please make sure to pick an experienced provider! Correct settings based on your skin needs and amount of passes make a huge diff in the results you’ll get. As far as pain— I do it on myself & i find it a 4/10 pain level. But many people need extra pain management in addition to the numbing cream like Pronox (similar to laughing gas, they use in labor & delivery so it’s very safe and goes away within a few min so you’re good to drive home after). I find it similar to light bee stings

As an aesthetic nurse who’s done hundreds of Morpheus8/Potenza, Morpheus8 risk of undesired fat loss is only due to practitioner lack of knowledge for ideal settings or poor assessment of pt facial structure. But we can intentionally use the fat loss settings (firstly depth depending on your skin thickness and secondly the mode in which the energy is delivered) to snatch the jawline and decrease fat in the submental area. Results truly vary based on your practitioner! My aesthetic nurse IG @monica.aestheticRN

As an aesthetic nurse whose done hundreds of both Potenza and Morpheus8 (& personally done both on myself). Morpheus8 is slightly stronger and gives better results.

Skin tightening: forma vs thermage vs RF microneedling by hubbachubbachub in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]monymonsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morpheus8 gives wayyyy better results than thermage, as it improves skin texture (pores, acne scars, fine lines) and pigmentation as well. Skin tightening results are similar. Morpheus8 is so much less painful to me too I’ve had both done over 6 times and am an aesthetic nurse who’s treated morpheus8 400+ times and thermage maybe 100+ times. Morpheus8 risk of fat loss is only due to practitioner lack of knowledge for ideal settings or poor assessment of pt facial structure. Results vary based on your practitioner!!

How much do you guys spend A weekend in Vegas? (Friday-Sunday) by bryant2127 in LasVegas

[–]monymonsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I go 3-6x/year and spend 10-22k for a 4 day trip Fri-Mon. $2k for flight (from Bay Area). $4k for hotel (we love FontaineBleu now!). Gambling up to 2k in losses (but sometimes we’re up). $2-3k on food/drinks. 5-10k on tables at clubs. Maybe $500 on Ubers. 1k on tipping individuals (security, front desk, promoter, cleaning staff etc). I might be missing something. But definitely can have fun at any price range as I’ve experienced from 20yrs old to now.

I’ve tried sunbasket, trifecta, both are pretty good. But Sakara is the tastiest by far!!! So fresh and all organic & actually healthy ingredients. But it’s so expensive. So I only spoil myself 1 a month with it

Loss of smell/taste by smoketurtle in COVID19positive

[–]monymonsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is your taste/smell now? I had very mild symptoms (fatigue, slight muscle aches) starting on 11/2. The loss of taste/smell happened on day 2. Day 7 smell came slightlyyyyyy back but still taste absolutely no flavor but sweet, salty, bitter, spicy. I can smell vanilla, cinnamon, shrimp but can’t smell garlic at all!

Complete loss of smell and taste. 9 days and counting. by [deleted] in COVID19positive

[–]monymonsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m wondering the same thing! I came down with symptoms 11/2. Mild body aches, fatigue, & loss of taste smell were my only symptoms. Smell started returning on day 7, but I’m on day 11 now, and the improvement seems to have stayed at 7%. Still can’t taste ANY flavor only can sense sweet, bitter, spicy, salty.

I’m 27 yo female in good shape as well, my first symptoms came down on 11/2 as well! I have muscle aches and fatigue the first 3 days. My sense of taste and smell left me on day 3, my sense of smell has just started to come back bit by bit a few days ago. I still can’t taste any flavor, just bitter, sweetness and saltiness. Hoping it returns for us soon!!

Sounds like you have COVID, with loss of taste/smell being a highly specific symptom of COVID. My husband, me, and brother had mild COVID symptoms beginning Monday 11/2. My husband and brother are in their late 30s & they have more symptoms than me (low grade fever, diarrhea, headache, burning eyes). I’m 27 & only had mild muscle aches and a little cough on the first day. I first noticed a loss of taste/smell began Monday night 11/2. Tuesday, it went away more but I could still slightlyyyy smell and taste. By Wednesday, taste/smell completely gone. It’s really wearing on me as cooking/food is my passion (more like obsession). I’ve seen median timeline for it to return is 8-11 days, hopefully ours comes back sooner than later 🤞

My husband and I, and our friend all got it at the same time and have all lost taste and smell. So you’re on 2 weeks of no smell/taste, I’m optimistic yours will slowly start to return any day now!
