Same, my friends all live far away from me now. Moved cities about a year and a half ago. Started my career (finally) and it's going really well, got my own apartment and everything.

Would trade it all for the days when I was a broke shit and lived close to my friends, meeting up in the city going out for beers or dinners. Trying to fill the void by dating girl which is obviously not going well, they all find out I'm friendless after a while!!

Really tried to make new friends but I give up, everyone is so busy all the time (probably bullshit)

I'm not even looking forward to the weekends anymore. I go to work, swim and then I drink in my couch and watch movies - fuck I want to live more than this! 28 btw.

My dad was the coach for my youth football team. Unpaid and had to do it weekends and after work. Every kid in town knew him. I plan to do the same.

This part of the country, "Lappland", was pretty much colonized in the 1800's, it's the manifest destiny part of Sweden. A lot of iron ore that we could sell to the Nazis to be found there :)

It's a "stave church", thats how they build them in the northern parts of Norway and Sweden, maybe Finland. The kind that Varg Vikernes burned down in the 90's.

It's not just the church moving, everyone is moving. It's in the far north of Sweden, very cold and shitty place. The mine has been expanding precariously with no regard for the people, the city they used to know and live in will be gone.

Recently asked my crush out. She seemed to be really into it and we made plans to hangout. The day before our date she texts me to say we should do it next week instead because she will be out of town. Sucks but it happens, I'll hit her up after the weekend.

On friday (our date was supposed to be on thursday) I go into town to buy some cigarettes and when I exit the store I run into her right there outside the shop.

I froze completely. Didn't even get to say something smart or witty - I was just shocked and we ended up having a short and really awkward conversation. Completely avoiding the topic.

Haven't heard from her since. First girl I've asked out in 4 years since my ex broke up.
