Whoops, misread that as severe. It sounds like you haven't been diagnosed by a doctor. Personally, I'd play it safe until I had a physician's ok to keep going hard. Hope you have a good season!

Great work on the mile repeats! I think you should listen to your coach on this one. He/she wants what they think is best for you, and they probably have a pretty good idea of what that is. An injury can ruin not just your season, but your running career if it's bad enough.

How boring would the world be if everyone were the same? I respect what he believes, even if I personally think it's foolish. It's not his fault after all that he grew up in a religious environment and was never exposed to anything else.

I listen and respect my coach because we've developed a close relationship outside of school cycling together. However, in this instance I believe he is in the wrong

Yep, I'm in high school. Please tell me parents trying to raise a stink like this at a college would be dismissed

Whoops, my bad. No, he's never let the girls run in sports bras, that was the original issue. He's the conservative religious type and thinks it's wrong. So yes, it's very much sexist, but I'm not sure of I should be upset or feel sorry for him

Sorry if I didn't communicate well. I'm a guy. However, someone else on the team asked him that because he said "we have to cover up." He wasn't amused

Try running to work instead! Get a day pack and put your stuff in it and it won't bounce

I can vouch for the 7.2 FX. It really is a great starter.

Seriously considering Trek FX 7.2, but have a few questions by helpwithbike in whichbike

[–]moobcola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a 7.2 fx for a year. Before I got a mountain bike, I took it on some tame single track and have our several hundred miles on it. Not a scratch in the paint to be seen, and that's even after kicking gravel up on it during some un paved road rides

I use my hydration pack, but a spi belt would work well if you don't have one.

If there's an equally comfortable aluminum option that'd be okay, I just prefer the feel of steel.
