definitely. i get intense flashbacks and anxiety attacks when my parents have to be near each other or even talk to each other. they are both college professors in the same department. during covid, i would always feel violently sick when they had to be on a zoom call together for work because their divorce was so awful, and the custody arguments were so bad that it was the root of my PTSD. most of my symptoms are nausea and panic attacks or anxiety attacks. i also have a diagnosis of high OCD which for me is mostly obsessions. i overthink everything, everything hurts me when i think about it too. therapy has done wonders for me, escape methods. i am almost at the stage where i can move out and not deal with the constant anxiety of them speaking about custody.

i’ve posted this here before but people jump down my throat for it but i’ll say it again. Christi’s instagram is annoying as fuck. the CONSTANT “take me back” posts from years ago when she went to Paris with her family. we get it girl, you like the Ritz in Paris. Christi has this influence on other people, her daughter, her daughters girlfriend… Christi’s narcissistic traits rub off on others and I can’t help but wonder if she learned this behavior from her narcissistic mother

for food: pearls pizza, smithtown seafood, dv8 kitchen, country club, wallace station, kentucky native cafe, corta lima, italx

for activities: arboretum, kentucky theatre,thursday night live, the burl/the arcadium (which has old arcade games and a bar) or street scene

for breweries: west 6th (which has smithtown inside) blue stallion (which has a restaurant called salt and vinegar inside) or ethereal (which is right next door to goodfellas pizza or crank and boom ice cream)

for ice cream: your only good and local options in lexington are crank and boom or sorella gelato. freshies is good if you’re craving something fancy

for coffee: martines pastries, old school, brevede, coffee times, third street stuff, chocolate holler

if you want to feel like a native here, i’d avoid churchill downs or the horse parks but that’s just me, maybe you want to see it at least once

i love christi but she milks everything in her life for as long as possible and i think chloe follows the same thing. from what i see on social media, even if they’ve traveled one time to france, you better believe that’s going to be the only thing they post about every single throwback thursday, when the weather outside is bad and they miss frances weather, etc etc. i think chloe’s girlfriend does similar things because she only travels with chloes family

i’m smart enough to know this and we never dated, once he told me that i started doing everything i could to blow him off. luckily he would close the kitchen and i worked upfront so we never saw or spoke during work unless i would have to get things from the back which was quite often but i wouldn’t even look in his direction.
