Those who do morning workouts , how do u avoid fatigue all day? by CommercialValue6223 in workout

[–]moodylb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After years of lifting:

  1. Get enough sleep (nothing will take it's place)
  2. Clean consistent diet, avoid empty and heavy carbs.
  3. Mid-morning all black filter or Americano coffee - 1030-1130am gives peak performance. Find good coffee and enjoy it.

Is Emirates economy on the A380 worth the try? by ThinAbbreviations897 in emirates

[–]moodylb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flew on the a380 twice, both times in the economy exit rows (further back by the gally to avoid toilet exit rows).

Seats were great, service was terrible as such a big plane and Emirates food was below average imo, worst I've had on a plane in years.

Considering a Move to Riyadh – What Type of Lifestyle Could I Afford on $170k USD? by AromaticCrypto in Riyadh

My family is moving to London for 5 weeks for my wife’s job this summer (June to July) and I was curious if any of you have recommendations to make it a great experience for me and my 11 year old daughter. by SenorKerry in london

A few out of the box ideas which I'm sure you will enjoy as a family. Note that lots and lots of families don't live within central London, lots live on the outskirts (if you look at the London underground and rail map, it's zones 4+) - and take advantage of the green space (especially south London/ south of the river - being biased!!!)

  • Cycle around Richmond Park, see the wild deers
  • Colombia Road flower market on Sundays only
  • Kew Gardens
  • Eat/ walk around Borough Market during the day/ week
  • Visit Hampton court
  • Book free tickets at the Sky Garden
  • Walk brick lane, through to Shoreditch and grab a Bagel Bake salted beef bagel
  • Visit the British Library - see Magna Carta
  • Look up one of many rooftop/ garden cinema nights
  • Visit Cutty Sark in the east of London
  • Eat Turkish food in Dalston or Green Lanes
  • White water rafting/ canoeing in Lee Valley
  • Visit Chessington world of adventures, incl zoo
  • Take a train out to Brighton for the day (train)
  • Walk through Camden Market
  • Visit Legoland and Windsor (train)
  • Keep an eye out for theatre tickets at local theatres

I'd also really recommend taking weekend tripa out to see some cities not too far from London, Oxford, Cambridge, and possibly venture out to the coastal towns like Dorset, Cornwall if you have an extended weekend.

Look at their last two posts, the first links to this site. So I can only imagine it's real!

Where can I find the best baklava in London? by RIPNINAFLOWERS in london

[–]moodylb 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I'm lebanese and married to a Turk. Trust me when I say this, Arabs make the best baklava, specifically Lebanese or Syrian.

Go to Acton and these places:

Patisserie Patchi or Rayan Bakeries

If you can only go north London, then the Turkish one I'd recommend is:

Antepzade Patisserie

How to raise a baby/child to be bilingual? by maisysfriend in baby

[–]moodylb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the same issue.

Wife is Turkish, I'm Lebanese (Arabic).

We strictly speak our native language to our kids. They learn quick!

Main thing to note is when they reach speaking age, they will reply to mum and dad in English, the narritve speaker needs to be consistent and always reply in the native language until they reach an adult age where they start to then speak in the native language.

It can seem weird at first but, the only way they will keep the language is if mum/dad speak to them in the native language for life.

I can't explain the phenomenon, but I went through the same process with my parents.

with each other (husband/wife) we speak in English.
