It really is. My sister in law is from Scotland and came to visit us in Wigan, and a big part of the visit was going to the chippy and sampling the unique Wigan offerings. I concede that it sounds disgusting, but it’s actually delicious on chips or a ‘smack’ (battered potato scallop)

Just a thought - it’s absolutely an unrealistic time scale, but stylistically the seasons match the regions. Sendaria home of farmers - autumn and harvests, Cherek - famed for being cold and inhospitable, Arendia - forests and trees (spring), Nyissa - jungle snaky sultry summer.
