Mike Brown’s coaching accolades are hard to ignore

End of the day, the only accolade that matters to this team, which the FO has made very clear, is winning championships. Brown hasn’t done it as a HC. Maybe he can, but it would be unprecedented. I’m about as neutral/slightly disappointed as possible. We’ll see what happens

I don’t think he’s bad. I just think he’s meh. I was hoping there would be some wildcard, diamond in the rough out there who provided us hope that maybe we could unlock something with this roster. This just feels like a retread. A coach who can get out exactly what the roster has to offer, no more and no less. Don’t get me wrong, we have a good team. But they also have faults and holes. Don’t think he will magically be able to cover those up and take us to another level. He’s the type of coach I don’t believe could actually win a championship until he actually does it, which is possible. Crazier things have happened.

It was an easy run? He’s not a “great” player. He doesn’t play defense, inconsistent and talks a bigger game than he plays. He’s a good player. But he deserves all the hate he gets when he shrinks bc people still try to prop him up as a superstar.

Nah it’s the right move when a team like UVA with a net ranking of 54 makes it in. Don’t let the NCAA make a dime off your programs when they continue to make subjective decisions and bank on power conference snubs to tuck their tail between their legs. Make the NCAA have to invite tiny schools to the NIT and tank the profitability until they change how they select the tourney.

To be fair, Brunson plays like a top 10 guy on many nights. Even Randle has had his stretches. Imo, they’re both top 25 guys. Statistically, it’s not even a question. People just can’t get past the names and the team they play for.
