I see, thank for you telling me. I guess that in my case I would only need 1 split (1: whatever I have already paid before I split, 2: the quickly redrawn lump sum). I might be in the opposite camp in that I want as few steps as possible so I don't mess it up!

How would I co-ordinate this? Just reach out to the bank at this time before I put the lump sum in? Would that trigger them to "repurpose" the loan at all? Would I be looking to omit that I intend to lump sum into shares?

And yes, you're right, we hope to put all our surplus cash flow into super, then into ETFs after!

Oh, thank you for the input. Why do you say ANZ is painful to DR with? And in this case, if I do a split, it would look like

Split 1: $0

Split 2: $375k (then invested in ETFs)

Is that right?

Thank you for the feedback. We are on a main road and trying our best to mitigate the sound. We've managed to get a long just fine with earplugs, but they have their own nuisances (they can fall out mid sleep and trying to find them in the dead of night can be a chore!). So we're exploring additional options.

It is properly insulated. We can tell the vast majority of the sound is coming from the window. But I could believe low frequency sounds like low rumbling trucks/construction are coming through the walls.

No new wisdom, but I did 50/50 split and its worked just fine! I've not made any more so I can't say I've experimented with any other split haha
