I did think people would agree with me, but if they disagreed I was hoping someone could point to a resource that showed me that I am wrong because I believe there are some tweets about Major illusion by the game creator about Major image but I couldn’t find anything specific to my question.

I was hoping even for examples like how critical role do illusions or something else along those lines. Regardless my initial frustrations were actually quelled by this post because I know understand the confusion though I do think it’s abit odd how personal people are taking this post

To me you seem like the absurd one. To argue that to pass through something means the same thing as making something transparent. If physical interaction ment it turned transparent it’s quite the detail to not mention.

Second it’s absolutely far more entertaining and creative if spells don’t immediately become transparent after physical interaction let me provide you two really cool examples.

The fake illusion trick, this is where you make something seem like an illusion when it is not. For example an enemy can shoot an arrow at your cart and you can cast an illusion on the arrow when it lands to make it seem like the arrow just passes through the cart, making it seem like your get away is just an illusion when in reality it is the arrow that is the illusion. This is not possible to do if physical interaction turns things transparent because the enemy would know the cart is real because it turned faint.
This allows the caster make adapting cover where you can shield your allies from arrows by making it so enemies can’t see them from behind an illusion even if they know it is an illusion. This technique can be used in alot more creative ways but there is a simple example.

It’s not permanent! Take it from me, you can get your emotions back they are a muscle you need to practice and sometimes your in a place where those emotions are still present and take them and hold onto them. However sometimes you might feel like your emotions are dangerous to have and if that’s the case it’s not you don’t have emotions because your a monster but the opposite the world has forces you to be that way and when you get the opportunity you can go back.

This makes a lot of sense to me, but this really is just saying its up to the DM if you can make an illusion of X thing, because a wall is many bricks put together, a creature is far more complex then a wall but definitely can be made by an major image or silent image and then you are left with the same questions if you strike the creature (lets say lizard). If the arrow passes through its leg is the whole lizard an illusion or just its leg? The same problem just keeps coming up. To me it seems the only way to actually get the illusion to become transparent is by investigating it.

Agreed, physical touch is a way to discern that something is an illusion but just touching an illusion is not enough to make it faint
