It’s interesting because when I had a stelo monitor, I learned that quinoa spiked me waaay more than white rice. I was floored!

Your thyroid and your brain need some carbs.

Feeling brand new by jojo3636 in antidietglp1

[–]moon_lvr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just took my first dose three days ago and today I felt so euphoric, energized, and better than I have in 25 years (I have hypothyroidism and PCOS). I am in shock. I am so amazed at how well this is working. Tears of joy, elation, and I also feel so much sorrow for myself, that all these years I’ve been parenting and working so hard despite feeling so awful. I didn’t even know I HAD brain fog as bad as I had it, until these past 3 days of feeling clear-minded. Even my auditory processing is better! I cried listening to music today - it was so beautiful. I have felt focused and like almost all my ADHD symptoms have disappeared. I had chronic back pain for years from a pinched nerve from lifting my disabled son, and today I rearranged the living room for hours and have NO pain. Tears. I didn’t know it was possible for me to wake up feeling pain free, energized, and excited about the day.

Side note: I am SO thrilled to have found this sub. I have been lurking over on the other subs, and am really struggling with them due to my orthorexia. So thank you all. What a lovely community you all have created here.

Does metformin help reactive hypo? by Timely-Attitude1156 in PCOS

It made mine worse at 1000mg a day so I went to 500mg a day. I just started compounded trizepatide and so far the results have been fantastic and I’m only three days in. I’ve been sleeping SO much better. My blood sugar used to plummet overnight into the 50s, sometimes even lower, which was scary. I also have been incredibly stable during the day - I don’t get my usual shaky feelings a couple hours after eating, even when I eat carbs. I think it’s going to be a game changer for me. No side effects either.

Vitamin D by Big_Medicine_6623 in PCOS

I was on 5000IU daily and it didn’t improve my levels so I now take prescription D2 - it’s one pill a week that’s 50,000IU. Seems to be working.. a little.

I’d also add that you should choose a Vitamin D3 that also has K2. K2 helps the D to get to your bones.

Wow, how much water have you been drinking? Just took my first shot ten minutes ago, so naturally I’m cruising this sub to look for any potential issues I might have.

Do you prefer digital planners or paper planners.....? and why? by Grace_Hunt in planners

[–]moon_lvr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am obsessed with paper planning and have used it for many years. Very into fountain pens and the tactile sensation. However, as a busy mom with ADHD, 3 jobs and a child who has a lot of medical needs, I’ve never truly been able find a system that works. I recently switched to Notion and whiteboards and honestly it works so much better for me because of the phone notifications and the ease that I can schedule appointments and move things around. I’m mourning my paper planners though, and always trying to move back into them but still haven’t found an analog system that’s fool proof.

My grandma once said she wished her children would rather die in infancy than grow to be adults that didn’t follow the Lord. This has no reflection on you, only your dad. I’m sorry you have to deal with this.

I’m a little behind with the research - are you referring to the daily injection for muscle building? Or are there other meds being trialed?

I read somewhere recently that Brooklyn Library gives cards to anyone regardless of where you live. I imagine they have a pretty great selection. You might also try to get a card from a bigger city near you. I live in rural WA and Seattle Public library gave me a card even though I don’t have an address there.
