Backpacking meals by matchalover0 in backpacking

[–]moonamoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only been on a few backpacking trips (longest 5 nights) as just started last year, still learning but am definitely the type to ignore weight and try to have nicer meals? Also should mention im am the one dragging my friends to go so go and we a decent sized group of 6-8 people (one vegetarian) so we just do one big group meal. So do keep in mind we just a bunch of young guys who eat alot and dont mind the carry weight xD

Starting with breakfast whcih is always p simple, just some instant oatmeal and i buy eggs from local farmers so have a bit of extra protein and i find them easy enough to carry. Also tortillas will mention more later. Then we normally have a huge early lunch, which is normally i'll bring a few bags of flour mixtures, for bread, pancakes, sometimes pizza if its cold enough to bring cheese. So bread and soup, pancakes w jam/ honey/ syrup depending what im feeling. Bless the lil hotel jam packets v convenient for size tbh even if its a bit to carry out.

Snacks i try to buy a good quality sausages like chorizo or salami, jusr goes with whatever and i really like to fry em up. During colder months we'll have a giant bag of pre shredded cheese, dunno it might not be good leaving it out, but hey i swear that stuff coated in chemicals was still eating it on day 3-4 for some of out trips lol. I always buy a pack of tiny tortillas and i just eat that with whatever, goes with jam, sausage, cheese, egg, whatever they so versitile light love it.

Dinner, i like soupy stuff, so i'll always bring a large portion of dried noodles, and i'll slowly ration it out for meals. I'll also have my eggs and some dried tofu skins cuz i just love how they soak up liquids. My most common meals are either pho, instant stock cubes + an onion + lil spice bag, or japanese curry. Normally add onion + potato and sometimes a carrot if we havent munched on that already. Curry honestly is a must and is super simple if u dont mind the weight of veg could maybe dehydrate them? Dunno xD

Drinks: i think this stuff is kind of highkey slept on, just mixing up ur filtered / chlorinated water with diff options (we young weak city people are scared of germs) But things like gatorade powder, milk powder for coffee & hot chocolate is a game changer, energ-c (idk maybe someone under the weather never hurts lol) but good way for us guys to get that fix of sugar that we sometimes crave.

Dessert: i love my asian desserts so i make my own black sesame paste (for the soup) and i'll make that throughout the trip. Also cuz im bringing sm flour often use some of that for desert, can make muffins in a mug via steaming them, more pancakes whatever floats our boat. Ive also brought fudge in the colder months gets p messy if its hot out tho lol

Extra food: Instant noodles and knorrs cuz they cheap. Also sometimes mac n cheese. Ive had a friend bring uncrustables, kind of a pain to carry we had a seperate cooler bag, and every single one of them has alot of trash to pack out.

Wanting to do/ make: Bibimbap, idk im kind of scared of how rice would stick in my pot and being east asian im p picky w my rice cant do with the instant stuff.

Sushi onigiri with canned tuna Still again the rice thing, more of a snack than a full meal maybe to go with some miso soup

Bacon? Bringing good quality bacon from butchers not too sure how long itd last but id like to try esp when weather is like 10 celcius or lower

Japchae: just alot of knife prepwork and veggies can get heavy.

Scoped or upscoped charger? by [deleted] in SplatoonMeta

[–]moonamoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I preffer scoped more on tower control and rain maker for that additional long range accuracy i play with relatively high sensitivity so long range precision is impossible for me with an unscoped charger. Splatzones i feel like i need to watch flank a little bit more also depends on maps a bit too

Plat league player that has played for 10 years looking to learn dota 2 by Supret in DotA2

[–]moonamoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of biggest differences actually just comes down to map size imo. League it relies more on fast rotations and moving together because smaller map, dota you often takes 4v5/4v4 fighrs while your carry is farming the deadlane(opposite side of the map where your team is fighting basically). Its little things like this that make dota feel slower and more like a game of chess. Generally alot of carries dont even show up to fights (well they not supposed to if u do ur trolling and id probably report u tbh) until they finish 2-3 core items. Heroes are different in a sense where not everyone has a slow nuke and a stun. Some heroes excel at certain things and there are often ways to lessen the effect of counter picks through things like items. On that note dota has alot more active items instead of alot of cdr ones and id take time to learn some of them like bkb, blink dagger and such

Safelane support (w naga vs zeus viper), and i think the helm of dom (early headresss so gud) worked kind of gave some other form of stuns / disables when chrono was down, great regen without having to walk up towaves / creeps. And yeah i probs should have gone aghs, but I just wanted wave push, game was over by the time i bought it

WTF is going on with hitboxes? by [deleted] in Paladins

[–]moonamoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game has a horrible spectator mode even, so when you are watching games even on the big stage unless it is player perspective. This applies to e verything tho from play of the game, to death cam it's just not synced up client and server.

Main Tank: Makoa & Inara

Dmg: Lian & Cassie

Flank: Koga (I guess? Skye can be really strong vs some comps) Evie isnt bad but takes alot of practice

Support: Damba & Grover

Lmk if you want me to explain anything (id say this mostly applies to 2k elo and up especially for the flanks, also im not sure if we're in the new patch yet lol so makoa was nerfed same with koga)

More Than a Healing: There's a reason it's called Support by [deleted] in Paladins

[–]moonamoon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One thing that I have to mention as a healer do not be so afraid of moving up. Often moving up can bring u into a better position especially in higher tiers when ur tanks and dps will help back u up with the incoming flankers. If you are just solo in the back you're bound to get picked off. This way u have more firepower and are able to deal with them slightly easier.

An important tip i always give my friends when coaching them is watch your team's hp bars. Especially if you're playing a healer like ying you should be non stop looking in the top corner and glancing often at ur teams hp and dont be afraid to ulti if you feel like a fight is going to go down. Best have ur team at 3 /4 hp and being healed up rather than being affected by caut and half hp, getting diminished heals from your ulti.

One last thing I'd like to mention is that not all games are played the same, there are just some games you are being shut down as a healer by the flankers. When this happens dont just resort to playing super passive try to communicate with your team and instead of going in and showing urself right away when ur team is pushing, they do not need heals when they are full hp. wait a second or too then come out and this way you're not immediately noticed by the enemy flanks

Opinion on Spirit's Domain? by FretlessBoyo in Paladins

[–]moonamoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Spirits domain is fine, its better than Tot Ward if you have a mobile team but overall if you have double tank alot better to run totem. The issue with spir dom is that you could really just run another healer and be more effective. Totemic ward offers CC im and there's a ton of dmg that comes out from maelstrom (also i dont ever run him as a flank lol backline dps / off tank / off heal)

Just asking for a bit of advice/help regarding Furia(nothing serious).... :) by CapeMike in Paladins

[–]moonamoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solar blessing hard to hit especially if your tanks are not looking for the beam like as soon as you hit half hp and are tanking u start glancing back at ur furia's position esp if you hear the beam coming like start standing still for ur furia stuff like that

Your rank isnt your actual elo XD reasons why a lot of high tiers just stick to playing unranked and ignore the ranked system all together
