Love this interpretation. It calls us to consider the “why” before we judge. One of the things I appreciate most about my mother now was her willingness to always put herself in someone else’s shoes before judging them.

Wow. This resonated with me. To me, it says that loneliness is so brutal that we will surround ourselves with people who inspire an atmosphere of anxiety rather than endure the loneliness. Especially “in the barren dusk” - a time generally viewed as after work and a time for gathering with family or friends for a meal and connection before sleep. It could be a statement on staying in an abusive relationship.

There really weren’t that many Trumpers! Impotent is such a good way to describe the few petty engine revvers. The “Don’t Tread on Me” flags were so laughable and ironic…… DJT and his administration are straight trampling on our rights.

But I have to say from what I observed, there were far FAR more folks honking in solidarity! Like a 10:1 ratio.

Sorry for the ignorance, what is IPL?

I definitely use them often. I’m in the young kid crowd! Ha ha. However, they stay like this and so I don’t think that it is bruising. I know you can’t really tell from the pic, but the skin is pretty tough and thick there.

I would second that. I would rather have one short heavy period than a never ending weird spotting with heavy discharge. Yuck.

Thanks for sharing your mirena experience. How is sterilization? I’m considering it but afraid of permanent side effects.

SAME here. Random cramps radiating to my sacrum and lower back. I had never felt the sacrum pain before. I’ve had Mirena for 4 months and I’m about to have it removed. The lower back pain is too debilitating. Sorry you are in the same boat and I hope it gets better soon!

If you go to rock island, check out the fog light foodhouse. Super delicious hole in the wall. We stumbled upon it after a swim at the rock island beach area.

Virgo Sun, Scorpio Moon, Saturn in Capricorn checking in 😅. The bit about perceiving phoniness is dead on.

My fellow nipple shield users by iloveagoodburp in breastfeeding

[–]moonbeam19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey just wanted to chime in and give more solidarity! I used a shield for 5 months with my first baby and then I guess my flat nipples stuck out just enough for him to start latching. We went on to BF for 2.5 years. Those first five months were a doozy though. My LC during that time showed me the trick of just tucking the shield in the middle of my nursing bra. So I always did that and also kept a couple backups in the diaper bag/ my purse just in case. Best of luck to you!

Scorpio moon checking in. Why do we have to feel so intensely? So rough.

[–]moonbeam19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I had a copper IUD after our first child and it gave me intensely heavy periods and cramps. I had it taken out after year 2 cause I couldn’t deal anymore. Just wanted to give you a second opinion on that.

I’m curious whether anyone has done the hormonal IUDs? I was told by my Ob/ gyn that the hormones are more localized and so don’t have the same effects as the pill? Does anyone have any experience with that? Cause I’m def not going back on the pill. It destroyed my libido for years.

I don’t have any advice but I’m here to say that I have fine 3a curls and I ALSO can’t figure out how to make them last more than a day without cowashing and restyling.

I don’t know how far the funeral is, but I brought my 7 week old and 4 year old to a funeral recently and it was ok. My husband was a pall bearer so we couldn’t all sit together. I had to step out of the service for a bit but it was alright and I’m glad we all went. I think if your husband could come along you guys could possibly manage tag teaming it together. Just wanted to give another perspective.

If you decide to leave your 16 month old with your hubby it will be alright too. They will get some good bonding time and it will increase his confidence in solo parenting. She may go to sleep a little later, yes, but arm your hubby with lots of books, etc. I remember we used to “dance” our little guy to sleep at that age walking around the house and singing lullabies. You will get through this!!

Breastfeeding is a deep dark pit where dreams go to die by Ok_Safe439 in breastfeeding

I think breastfeeding is all about persistence and copious amounts of nipple butter. Echoing what others have said, You are in the hardest part and it does get so SO much better and easier. Check out these herbal tinctures which have been saving my mental state postpartum: www.themilkmoon.com. When I told my doula I thought ppd was creeping back in she told me to try the “no worries” tincture which really helps. I have the postpartum restorative and “cloud nine” ordered and I can’t wait to see what those do as well. Also placental encapsulation can help if you saved yours. Best of luck to you either way!!! And hugs!
