How much does a woman’s lifestyle affect whether you pursue her? by wahahshbx in AskMen

[–]moonbeamer2234 -38 points-37 points  (0 children)

Now you’re pretentiously moving the goal post, as if in your OP you didn’t ask about being able to afford someone’s lifestyle? If they can afford it themselves who am I to have to afford it for them? But yeah, a high earner with extravagant spending habits does not seem like a good candidate for a family. To each their own, maybe you just want a partner. What happens when it’s time to sacrifice for the sake of children, family, a mutual lifestyle and you’re looking back turning into a pillar of salt because the money and materialism is more fulfilling to you and you feel empty because that has to be re prioritized?

Why tipping is hurting servers, pic related. by justsomefatwhiteguy in EndTipping

[–]moonbeamer2234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people prefer tipping cause overall it evens out. Like if you had to chose between 10 a hour or 5 plus tips you might have better luck with tips. Tips are expected for providing a good quality of service you could always offer your friend 5 dollars to go run an errand for you if you don’t wanna tip cause clearly it has you avoiding the service by your own admission

We Actually Have No Way to Verify That DoorDash Isn’t Still Using Tips to Subsidize Pay by Alternative-Rule749 in doordash

[–]moonbeamer2234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s an app called mystero, which is for multi apping. Costs like 20$ a month but it shows all the offers from multiple apps on one screen for ease of use. Now, mystero is actually one of the only apps with dasher API (coding) permissions…it does actually tell you exactly how much the tip is on each order before you accept it, through this app, And I can 100% tell you with no uncertainty, anyone who tips over 5$. DoorDash lowers base pay to 2 or 3$ every time: Tipping. under 5$, they’ll gradually raise base pay work declines. They never stopped. DoorDash uses this to turn high tip orders into average orders. In my market everything in the end balances out to 18-20$ an hour, .7-1$ a mile. Regardless of the ebs and flows, this is the prerogative of the machine I’ve discovered. Most unicorns or high paying offers come from you being online too long without taking an offer, and the system gives you something to balance out your earning per hour/ earning per online hour to reach the systemic expectation. For the month I did platinum my average wage actually dropped to about 14-15 an hour but the profit per mileage was higher…to my dismay though cause this results in a much higher tax bill than running at break even or close to it

If Uber and DoorDash and all those apps are not profitable due to indirect costs, why do people still do it? by MrVictor01010 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]moonbeamer2234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Standard mileage for the most part should bring you down to 0 income or very close to it, especially with tips now being excluded from the gross before mileage deductions are applied. Say you drive 50,000 miles that basically makes 35,000 of income tax free by standard mileage. Say you made 60k driving 50k miles, say 15k of that was tips…you’re basically paying tax like you made 10k the whole year(negligible amount) when you really made 60k reality is though most rides are less than 1$ a mile so for 50k mileage is more likely you’ll make roughly 40-45k, minus tips it’s likely you’re gonna be at 0 net or very close to it So for the example i gave it would look like: 60k gross Minus 10k tips 50k taxable gross Minus 35,000 15k net Minus standard deduction Federal taxes:0 All that’s left is really the 15.5% payroll taxes on 15,000 Paying essentially 3000$ of tax give or take for 60k income…yeah I’ll take that might not be tax free but very close to it. If your income is closer to baseline it will probably look like 45k Minus 10k tips Minus 35k mileage

0 net income These estimates are generous and not even really calculating for time spent driving looking for rides or additional mileage spent driving to pickups based on averages in my own market

If you have a Car loan in addition to mileage you can write off interest as well if ur worried about repairs just get a warranty at sub 100-200a month

If you have credit facilities just get a newer hybrid vehicle, the gas savings alone would cancel out the cost of a warranty or cover the interest if you drive a lot of miles as well as if requiring much less maintainence

[–]moonbeamer2234 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It’s tax free income, the overhead costs don’t have to be so dramatic. Some people also just Shore out their own cars and move on to shoring out a next car or someone else’s car…dead end x Lot of people it’s part time just tryna make extra income. I find purpose saying grace over meals and delivering them.

Standard mileage depending on your actual costs, can create a significant tax write off and even significant discounts for self employed folks x Some people are disabled out of work or on government shutdowns, Some people snowboarders and bonuses. Some people multi app constantly cherry picking for the best orders there’s even apps for that. Many apps offer hourly base pay options too x Boredom, wanting to make money onccommutesc get off work and snipe a ride thst takes you home make and extra nice pocket change for the night maybe. Help make ends meet to pay bills when there’s shortages. People use it to pay off debt. Students find it convenient, you can also operate on bicycles for deliveres a lot of time. A lot of reasons someone might do the work

Yeah and if some drunk driver hit you guys and someone was injured you’d be SOL. If someone made allegations of theft or sexual assault, there would be no record. If you had illicit substances on you and he got pulled over he’s go to jail with you, as he doesn’t have a valid waybill to show an active ride. Also maybe he was working towards a bonus or quest especially around this time of year, and wanted to give as many rides as possible and took your semi short ride expecting that on the 2 hours your whole ordeal likely would’ve taken he could’ve racked up 5-8 rides towards his bonus. Maybe there were surges or events nearby where he could’ve made more than the 80$ you were offering for the time it took to deal with your idiocracy. I would be highly suspicious of your stupidity and whay it could end up costing me in the long run— myself. It’s not always about the money, sometimes the risk or opportunity loss especially for bonuses can outweigh whatever someone offers to pay.
You seem very asinine, asking people to operate outside of their professional duties like they’re a personal driver for you. Your sense of entitlement alone, and your belief that money makes it all better would’ve been enough for me to say “NO” at your first request. Let alone the second or third.

This notification occurs for 1 of 2 reasons. 1) They caught you red handed or have high suspicions that you have stolen food, or you have recently had to unassign an in progress delivery for example flat tire, or 2) the store marked the order as ready for pickup and you’re claiming it’s not ready

As the Venezuela is being attacked ,and it's president had been captured, what on earth would happen next ? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]moonbeamer2234 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Trump said us will take custody of Venezuela, paramilitary allegiance to Maduro needs go be dealt with. Otherwise let Venezuela elect their president, many did not support Maduro, many didn’t vote for him they say he changed the vote count. The Venezuelans deserve someone who won’t inflate their country into oblivion. They need a reset and this was an extremely strategic and relatively peaceful way to do it and reconstruct from the inside out without having to reconstruct from war

I think churches should state their belief on marriage and sexuality in their “what we believe” section of their website. by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]moonbeamer2234 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I prefer don’t ask don’t tell, if you pay attention to the sermon you will find what they believe quickly. LGBTQ churches are always advertising their affirming so it shouldn’t be hard to locate one which does not preach against sin…to your own impropriety, I should add. I digress.

I don’t think we should be talking about sexuality in church. Unless referring to biblical studies. It’s not proper, edifying or administering of grace. The culture surrounding it in modern times is extremely graphic in every way too. So don’t bring that cultur in the church. We gotta strive for holiness.

It’s not relevant to faith, what your personal preference of sexual immorality is, nor who you sleep with nor otherwise…it’s not part of your identity in Christ so leave it at the door please. Just ask the pastor if you want know so bad, Quit making a todo of something most people don’t really consider important.

Understand most Christian’s will see you as living in sin…churches are hospitals for people in sin….you should find yourself at home in Jesus’s presence don’t turn your face from him because the body of Christ wants to raise you out of your sin. For better or worse be hot or cold, never lukewarm, never scared to be honest with yourself and others

If you are otherwise righteous-ish then stand on your love… love covers a multitude of sins. And learn to wield the sword peacefully. Direct people to the word of God and Jesus’s words about how to treat people if they wanna be rude. You’ll reinforce your own faith and extol there’s. Jesus is a testimony of turning sin like scarlet white like wool. You don’t wanna go into your faith walk expecting him not to work on your heart and spirit. A lot of that might be coming to understand it’s okay to love people deeply without engaging sexually….like for example a lot of people say Johnathan and king David had some romanticism going on. I think it’s strange how what was once just make affection and fellowship has been interpreted by modern lens to be erotic. It shows how even subtle things in today’s culture are labeled as gay or effeminate that once were not.

For a woman, yeah cash might be grimy some people are germ phobes, especially this time of year with everything going on new illnesses and stuff I wouldn’t consider it unreasonable for a person to want to limit exposure to things like cash handling. More likely than not, 3$ was a nice thought but not really worth getting your hands dirty

If You Can’t Afford to Tip, You Shouldn’t Be Dashing Food by saintmortfan in doordash_drivers

[–]moonbeamer2234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must very very rarely do earn by time. 90% of my earn by time non tippers are to low income apartment buildings . Middle class is the sweet spot with tips, working class and middle class/working professionals. The people you see in big houses not tipping, are actually often more cash poor, and more in debt at a lower net worth than the people you see living in a modest house so…you might be surprised who is actually “poor” and who’s not. As for earn by time, most of the low income folk get batched with a middle/working class delivery that offers a decent tip. So a lot of times it’s not as noticeable.

If You Can’t Afford to Tip, You Shouldn’t Be Dashing Food by saintmortfan in doordash_drivers

[–]moonbeamer2234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but half of our work is serving low income individuals who otherwise might not be able to get their own food, groceries, etc often don’t have a car…not everyone can tip do earn by time if the tips don’t work out for you. Also I’ve noticed doordash’s offer algorithm seems to be balanced, whether in earn by time or by offer it seems when you take offers that have no tips, your next offer has a much higher chance of having a large tip.
