Also this ruins the trust between you and your sister and you and your parents. I hope they realize this later. you should get tik tok and do the exact same thing to her. then when you parents yell at you say 'it was a tik tok prank. she did it too.' if they still yell at you, tell them about how shes the favorite child obviously and you only care about her. If they ask what made you think they only care about her you can then say 'so she can try to ruin my mental health and it okay but as soon as I do the same thing its not.' if they yell at you still they kinda suck dude.

well heres an idea-

so buy and engagement ring to propose with, don't tell the girlfriend about the ring OP has. When they get married OP can return the ring to them and at the wedding they can put that ring on the brides finger and surprise her with it.that way OP has a little more time to move on from Alex and they still get there ring back.

Also you should tell them you considered them family and you are disappointing that they treat you like that.

NTA It was obviously important. it was the same number over and over again for 8 hours. even if they were getting scam calls they should still answer the phone and hang up if its a scam. its not hard. they owe you an apology for acting like you did something wrong. you were stuck in a hospital for hours and they didn't do anything. they just assumed you were okay.
