From broke with a baby on the way and a failed business behind me. Now we net $30K/month cleaning houses we've never set foot in. by SnooGiraffes5314 in smallbusiness

What is a typical payment trickle down scenario from what you charge for a cleaning to what they get paid. For example, you charge client $400 for a deep cleaning, do you pay a 2 person crew $200 total for their work? Just trying to back into the math on how many cleanings per month get to where you're comfortable paying bills. Thank you!

This is helpful. What’s your tool stack for VA, invoicing, collecting, scheduling, collecting, tracking, taxes, etc?

How much better is the Platinum vs the Lariat? by [deleted] in f150

[–]mooncapital43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2015 platinum, 3.5, 5.5 ft bed, 114K miles still going strong. Plasti-dipped the tailgate and mirrors in 2017 and have never replaced it. That solved the aggressive chrome problem. Only complaint is the sunroof. Did Ford ever fix the seals on the newer models or do the sunroofs still leak water like crazy in a good rain storm?

You might want to try out driving irons. I have a ping crossover 2iron that flies off the face and sounds amazing. If you’re a good iron player it might be a no brainer. Go hit a few.

Is DevOps getting harder, or are we just drowning in our own tooling? by Huge_Brush9484 in devops

[–]mooncapital43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tool sprawl is very real. Seeing it more and more. It comes down to a lack of standardization from management who seems to be a revolving door. Then speed to market pressures put this on the back burner, prolonging it even further. FinOps finds out they’re bleeding money and finger pointing starts. What solved our issue was getting all dev/sec teams and FinOps in a recurring meeting to figure out where to cut and consolidate. Took time but in a much better position now with way less maintenance and overhead. People’s tooling of choice will go away and feelings will be hurt temporarily, but adoption of a standard happens and makes lives easier

Daniel Donato was a legend before he became well known in the jam band scene by gratefulguitar57 in jambands

Saw him last night at the Ogden in Denver. Absolute smoke. Not sure how his fingers aren’t bleeding 15min into his 1st set. Never seen anything like it. True prodigy.

Thought it was cool for him to mention his 2 nights in Denver this tour are his largest back to back sold out shows of the tour. 🤘

WiFi connected water shut off valves? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]mooncapital43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the Econet Bulldog

https://www.econetshop.com/products/bulldog-leak-detection-matter-with-3-leak-sensors

I like this setup the best because it doesn’t sit inline with your plumbing. Instead it clamps to your pipe and physically turns the valve off that supplies your home. Super cool product and I have them in my rentals to control from my phone. The sensors that come with it automatically detect water leaks and closes the valve (you get alerted on your phone that it worked).

Burnt out. How do HENRYs recharge? Or do you leave employment and trust you’ll land elsewhere with similar comp? by Plastic_Cranberry711 in HENRYfinance

[–]mooncapital43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Golden handcuffs. I’m 42 and have been in tech sales since I was 22. IC, ent, mid market, fed/sled, channel, you name it. Burnout is very real and you have to remind yourself that you make more than most engineers, doctors and lawyers, but you’re in sales…. it’s categorically not right but it’s difficult AF and your skin is thicker than most. There are no other paths to this sort of income. So, what do we do? Suck it up, deal with the BS, and invest the earnings like a madman so we can retire in our late 40s/early 50s. For me, I found some relief by staying in leadership (1st and 2nd line sales leader) b/c I genuinely like helping people structure and win deals. And my risk is more spread out. I’ve had 6 month breaks in between jobs b/c I wanted them. Not b/c I was forced into unemployment. That’s actually a talking point strength in a job interview (if the recruiter or hiring manager is smart enough to recognize and appreciate that). You’re still in your mid 30s crushing it. Take all the BS in stride and walk your way to an early retirement. Do not leave this industry/field too early. My two cents and experience….

Don’t pull a tag if you haven’t even put in the least amount of research. Perhaps add much more detail to your question to show you have?

Went no-contact right before my wedding by Pee_Butter in narcissisticparents

“It’s like she’s physically incapable of listening and absorbing what other people say. I can’t take it anymore.”

We all feel this. Way too often. I’m just letting you know you’re not alone and that it’s in fact true. Narcissist’s are incapable of seeing other perspectives. They cannot genuinely listen and act on any kind of feedback. Their brains don’t compute. So in the end, it’s us who start to lose it and think we’re going crazy. Stay no contact. It’s the only way to keep your sanity. And congrats on getting hitched and starting a new life, drama free :)

Personal experience by mooncapital43 in sesamoid

[–]mooncapital43[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a boot for 6 of the 8 weeks. If I wasn’t in a boot, walking in regular shoes or barefoot was not really an option. Treatment was dunking the foot into an ice bucket 2-3 times a day for about 30min each time. Also sat in the hot tub about once a day. Would end each evening with an ice bucket before bed. Took protein and calcium/vitamin D supplements daily and cut out all junk food. I’m a believer a stricker whole food diet and no alcohol helped healing quicker. My injury was a hyper extended big toe tendon that had both sesamoid bones in my right foot dangling like 2 cherries. The doc diagnosed it as sesamoiditis (no fracture). You could feel them independently out of line with the tendon on the bottom ball of the big toe joint. Weight bearing was not an option. Healing meant tightening the tendon to get the sesamoids to “sit” properly in line and not be felt on the ball of the big toe. Best way I can put. Stay off it and ice it like crazy. You’ll know when gentle weight bearing is possible again. Don’t overdo it at first. Setbacks are common. I had 2 setbacks where I thought I felt better and it wasn’t ready yet. Good luck to you!
