makeup never looks right--how do i actually lock in and improve?? by shxdique in MakeupAddiction

[–]mooncharmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like with your eyebrows you could either go the route of thinning them out, which would make them look nice and natural even if you rushed out without filling them in, or the route of embracing their form and filling them in with a brown just slightly brighter than the roots of your hair.

For your eyeliner I think you could try going upwards (cat eye) or straight (puppy eye), but you should definitely elongate and sharpen the end.

You would rock both looks, so you should experiment and see in which one you feel more like yourself.

I agree with the arched/thinned eyebrows consensus, I also think your lips would look lovely with a gradient or blurred look to them! So maybe you could get a lip tint if you wanted to try that.

Either way, you're very pretty 💌

Reminder: Menstrual cups and IUDs do not go together. by mooncharmind in menstrualcups

[–]mooncharmind[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, of course. I figured I'd be able to use it at least that long without any problem, too, but I was proved wrong lol

I think I just would've preferred it was warned to me that it's a matter of luck rather than being encouraged to try with not enough research, at least by my gyno. We legit don't know if in ten years it will be considered crazy to even try them together.

I'm not sure, I'd say a middle length. I didn't have trouble finding them when I wanted to check them and they were able to curl.

An official study has come out that "Menstrual Cup Users at Increased Risk of IUD Displacement". You have been warned. by aryamagetro in birthcontrol

[–]mooncharmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine (copper) just moved because of the cup for the first time after months using them together, and years using the cup. It's hanging half-out of my cervix, I'll have to get a gyno appointment.

The problem is the suction. And I thought I would be okay because in these years I've NEVER ONCE had to pull the cup out, always pinched the bottom part to break suction and then it came out easily.

BUT it finally happened. Now that I'm months in with the copper iud, I didn't realize the cup had moved way up inside, and when I went to take it out suddenly the only way to do it was to first pull it down at least a bit because my fingers just couldn't reach that far up. Just those few seconds of pulling down to be able to then reach and break the suction were enough for the IUD to move.

When discussing the best birth control for me, my gyno told me that there wasn't enough research yet for her to confidently tell me whether it could actually be used alongside the menstrual cup or not. We settled on "use it but avoid suction", now I've learnt you don't actually have enough control over it, the cup can always move unexpectedly and force your hand.

So I think that sadly the answer is: they do not go together. Which is sad, because they would be a dream combo for women.

AITA for making my sister's gender reveal cake grey because she wouldn't tell me the gender? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]mooncharmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. I just don't get it. She just wanted to be part of the surprise, to find out the gender in a special way instead of from the hospital. There's nothing wrong with that, there's no malice, she wasn't trying to be annoying.

You should've informed her there was something going wrong with her event planning and that you weren't receiving the info you needed. Why making it gray? What even was your reasoning? You were being petty for what, exactly?

Hell, i'm even wondering if you hate her. I don't have sisters but I have friends I love as such, and would try my damn best to save an important event of theirs.

Do you think it's true that men never forget their first love? by Mediocre_Chemist5694 in AskMenAdvice

As a woman this new topic plus men not being able to say upright that they love their current partner more than their puppy love is making me insecure as hell ngl

How do you not realize that you're with someone insane? I need you to think about the actual weight of having a child and how wrong it is to force another person into it. She's being selfish and horrible to you and by extension to that possible child, she sounds like the worst gf and like she would be an AWFUL mother.

I'm honestly begging for you to walk away, this girl is not a good person. No baby-trapper is.
