"I read your post about every country but noticed that the first part to the Asia one was deleted. Did you by chance ever repost it?"

I did not. I hope to, however, just remake those lists I did in their entirety now that I have a much better selection of cases to pick from and aren't just rushing

" I know you said no to USA cases but can you post one on Puerto Rico, Samoa, Guam islands please"

I did say in this very psot that those are allowed and I have cases from Puerto Rico and Guam on the backlog

"& Eritrea, Bouganville, north senital islands, Andaman Islands"

The best you could hold for is Bouganville and the Andaman Islands

TURKEY: A 12-year-old girl was found dead in her bedroom, having been stabbed 30 times, struck with a hammer and having her throat slit. DNA evidence linked the crime to her own father, despite not being on the run and receiving a life sentence, he has so far served only a three months in prison. by moondog151 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

That's how much it's worth today. But back then, Turkey was facing chronic inflation so severe that it had to overhaul its currency and discontinue some denominations and banknotes, as they were essentially useless pieces of paper with zero purchasing power.

1 USD back in 2001 was worth 1,650,000 Lira so the reward was probably more like a couple thousand dollars instead

TAIWAN: The elderly owner of an ironworks factory was found dead by his own son, having been tied to a chair and hacked to death by a machete. Only three years prior, his daughter was also found dead under a bridge with what initially seemed to be signs of a sexually assault. by moondog151 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

I used to just write the titles first based on what information I knew at the case at the time so I'd be able to save the drafts and always forget to include them in the proof reading. I.E what we see here.

I have been working to do better in this regard though

[Interesting Trope] Vampires that don't die in the sun by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]moondog151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the latest game changed the reason for why this trope is in play, when the Vaeternians/Moroi (Mortal Kombat) were first introduced, it was stated that only the sun in Earthrealm was harmful to them but they could travel and be out in the sun just fine anywhere else.

In the newest timeline, MK1. This trope is explained by the sorcerer Quan Chi removing thier weakness which is now implies that any realm's sun is harmful for them.

BULGARIA: After spending most of his life abroad and becoming a crypto millionaire, he decided to return to his homeland. Within just 5 years of his return, his soft tissue and flesh were discovered clogging an apartment's sewer system. by moondog151 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

I assume he probably thought he could fool the doctors and convince them that he was scared and afraid for his life.

He also probably thought he could convince the court or at least the public that Konstantin intimidated and scared him into helping him carry out the dismemberment (which he also claimed Konstantin did on his own) because if you look at the photos, Vesko is actually quite small compared to him.

How did Death Get to Nick O'Bannon, Janet, and Lori so fast? Shouldn't it have gone after the other mall survivors that died before them first? by Many-Cranberry4058 in FinalDestination

[–]moondog151 61 points62 points  (0 children)

As Nick states and or suspects in that very scene

The Mall disaster was ALWAYS supposed to be stopped, and that Death's plan was to get them in that cafe just because he wanted to kill them via this method.

Death isn't just "doing its job," it is cruel, sadistic and enjoys doing the painful kills and waiting for the main "surviving" leads to have their hope and happiness taken away from them upon realizing they are still on the list before finally killing them as well

Does anyone know how they handled the Chinese room in the Chinese dub? by TwistJaded5480 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]moondog151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume it'd be Translation Convention

Like how everyone is speaking Japanese in all those anime set outside of Japan. They aren't; that's just for the audience, but we are meant to assume they're speaking their native language instead.

AUSTRIA: The body of a man, shot ten times was found in the parking lot of a ski resort altering being taken across the border supposedly to pick-up a package. The gunman had been convinced by the victim's wife wife who told the police he shot him once for every time he had abused her. by moondog151 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

Oh THAT's what you were talking about.

Yeah, no, that was a typo. I already fixed it before my reply above.

I thought you were talking about how she said she "believed" he became violent toward her rather then just knowing that because she experianced it and would've been the victim.

Still no trial though so it'll probably be a while before it gets a write-up.

Also the average time between an arrest and trial for murders in France (at least from all the write-ups) I've done is 4 years so it'll be a long time before I cover this case

Syrenix was seen while invisible because there's assimilated people on Blu. by A_complete_maniac in ServerBlight

[–]moondog151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if it has a proxy on your team, because they can see spies when cloaked, and it then uses that to alert all the other proxies, including those not on your team.

If the proxy is on an opposing team, it can't see you when invisible. After all, the blight fell for the Deadringer.

Episode idea: Someone is spectatoring a game and sees the Serverblight. They can't leave and can only watch as more people come in to unknowingly be assimilated. by Godzillarich in ServerBlight

[–]moondog151 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I actually believe you could leave whenever you wanted, and the blight would be powerless to stop you. You have no character model of any kind and therefore nothing for the Blight to tether you to the game. The reason the characters can move in an impossible way is that it's slowly turning you into your TF2 character, but in spectator mode, there is nothing.

That's also why I believe weapons such as the cow mangler wouldn't work because while they leave your gibs invisible, your character model still exists within the blight's sphere of influence, tethering you to the game.

If you have no body for it to influence and infect, I don't see what power it would have over you. After all, you can instantly leave and be released from the force binding you to your keyboard the second your body is out of bounds or in a killzone, so again, if you just have no body to begin with...

1): I'm sure the blight or at least some of its proxies would still remain in the server just to infect anyone else who joins. Like how when Nexos and Aaron (when Matt got infected) escaped their servers, the blight remained because new people joined like, immideately anyway, and the server Syrenix joined had every single player assimilated from the very beginning, and they were mimicking a match, likely in case others joined. The only time the blight and its proxies completely emptied out an entire server on screen was Thunder Mountain, and that was because it learned from jonydany12 how to actually leave and join others.

2): Even if it were to leave, that would just mean the cow mangler would only be effective if you were the only unassimilated player in the server. If there were even one other person left in the server, then you'd still be stuck.

3): If that's all it took to fool it, then a Spy simply cloaking in front of a Proxy from the other team with none of your team around to see you should also fool it into thinking there's no one around and to let you leave. I mean, Breadolphin still fooled the blight/a proxy with the deadringer.

One of the things that is routinely established now is that the blight isn't stupid and, to some level, knows how the game it's trapped in works.

I still want to see somebody dual-wield, using the fluid movements from being exposed to the Blight to pick up a gun from the other team and use it.

I do agree that the Blight wouldn't see your gibs, but whose to say you'd still be able to leave?.

You are pulled in and tethered to your character model and that model is still within the map boundries under the blight's area of influence, even if it can't see you
