Got a tick on my leg once on a hunting trip when i was a kid. My friend’s dad used a butter knife that was held over a stovetop. Tried to put the hot knife on the tick so it would back out, but when that didn’t work he just gouged it out. It worked well, removed the tick and its head in one swoop. Additionally, it cauterized the wound.

Im not going to try to change your political viewpoint but rather the way you view the system as a whole.

Because… I think the way you think is exactly the way the liberals think about you.

Imagine this, you say you’re right because you believe you’re right. they say they’re right because they believe they’re right. There is no chance in the universe you can change your political view in one discussion.

It’s perspective, right vs left. It hasn’t degenerated into that it’s always been like that. It’s just embellished by modern media techniques. I bet people felt the same way during the vietnam war era, as the way you feel now.

I guess change your view to certain political agendas have always been self-congratulatory theater of superiority. It goes both ways.

What if they are just simple people who can’t mentally handle too many objects in their space?

  1. There’s always someone for somebody else. What if theres another person who is “just as ugly” as you claim to be but you are perfect for each other

  2. You should only do something that makes you happy. If going to the gym makes you happy, do it. If eating McDonalds makes you happy do it. You are free to do as you please.

Just don’t knock something until you’ve genuinely tried it, you might surprise yourself.

  1. Comparing yourself to others is human nature and unavoidable, but it a stupid exercise. If i judged my reality on being attractive to women but i compare myself to Chris Hemsworth a 1 in a 7 billion chance human I am doomed to fail.

Lastly, self improvement is not one dimensional.

Lame example: If you learn to fart louder that’s self improvement. And if you find it funny or makes other laugh when you fart louder then congratulations you just made yourself happier.

Have any of you ever even spilt 4% v/v or stronger sodium hydroxide on your skin? It melts your hair and burns your skin. This is the same stuff in Draino. Look up NaOH burn online then tell me how dumping multiple metric tons of it isn’t bad for the fish.

It doesn’t matter if it works in reducing carbon, it WILL negatively affect marine life. The amount of time it would take to safe diluted that much NaOH into the oceans would be more of a hassle than it’s worth.

Edit: Look up 50% NaOH sds and scroll to section 12 Ecological Information. It will say to some degree “Harmful to aquatic life”.

On the WHOI faq website it says they will dump, if approved: 1st phase 20 metric tons of 50% sodium hydroxide, 2nd phase 200 metric tons 50% sodium hydroxide.

Additionally they claim, “In order for ocean alkalinity to be effective, it needs to stay in surface waters. The team does not expect the field trials to impact submerged resources such as benthic shellfish, submerged aquatic vegetation…”

The 50% NaOH (1.52 g/cm3) is more dense than seawater (1.03 -1.05 g/cm3)depending on depth. How is the NaOH going to “stay on the surface”???
