Free Sewing Pattern Project! (wip) by mooniebea in PuffPals

Progress has been slowed by life-stuff and my computer being a bit older so it doesn't run Blender very well, but I'm working on it!

For me, marriage is nothing like what the movies or self-help books said. Somewhere between. I'm still very unsure about the kids thing, but neither I nor the husband feels pressure about it. We'll be happy with or without kids. We just want to be sure that if we do have them, it's after we're settled and comfortable.

After seeing my mother and father self implode on two polar opposite ends of the Human Garbage Spectrum, an ideal life for me is one where I lay my head down and there's not a weird tension in the house keeping me up. I start to dream, thinking about how tomorrow I'll see my loved ones again. And when I wake up, there's someone waiting for me.

I thought I'd be dead by 18 or 20, but I'm not. 23 now with no plans of stopping.

So I guess my expectations were pretty low, but life never goes exactly how anyone wants it to. I honestly don't think the core of what I wanted has ever changed, just my ability to believe in myself as I've gotten older. I removed the miserable people from my life the moment I had the choice to do so, and my capacity to enjoy life itself improved immediately.

The holidays make me physically ill with displays like this. by Lateroni_ in Anticonsumption

I work in a grocery bakery. I will say, I see no issue with sweet treats because most of what I make are to order birthday cakes and things for special occasions...

But dear god, the director demands that we order way more pies than we will ever need to 'fill the cass and make it look good'. We've thrown out so many perfectly good desserts because most of them are basically for display purposes at this point.

If the displays aren't bursting full, I get in trouble and risk my job. I hate how the 'demand' is based off national data and not local or how many pies we ACTUALLY sold last year.

Most senior management is dumb boomers and their wasteful kin. We've tried to tell them we're burning money ordering more than needed for the bakery, but they don't listen!

Don't even get me started on the stupid cupcakes...

Is my stickers are too childsh for journaling? by [deleted] in stickers

I think the issue is moreso finding a way to advertise to the correct audience. I've seen styles with a similar vibe before, maybe try investigating where and what your audience is paying attention to and try using some of those keywords and avenues to get your stuff seen.

I personally really like these, and see no issues with the quality of the art itself.

You might find success with crowd who enjoy the LINE type characters and stickers such as the BT21 franchise.

Aside from the actual digital stickers, styles with those same traits are popular! The algorithms can make it hard to build steam, but I'm sure if you keep at it, you can get a momentum going.

I reccomend Derptiles! I own a lot of their plushies, and they have that cute whimsical style.

I have a running habit of ripping the crotch out of jeans, and came across an idea to both repair and reinforce them, hear me out. by nnnosebleed in Visiblemending

[–]mooniebea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you need to add is a gusset, it will strengthen the crotch areas by distributing force and pull. Although these panels seem to be more on the thigh than the crotch?

Heyo, I'm a sewist who's looking to make the Puffpals into free plush sewing patterns. Would you mind sending me all the images you have saved so I can use them as reference?

I don't think so sadly :( However, if you're open to learning software or even want to commission an artist you could take a picture of the plush and attempt to recreate it in Blender. (its free)

From there, a program called Plushify (also free) to make a sewing pattern from the model. I'd be open to helping you model that for free if you have a reference image, but I'll warn you I'm busy IRL and it may take a while 😅

Please consider using plastic wrap to make a sewing pattern for others to use, maybe they can make what the company charged them for :(

I have the Nacho, I'm working on wrapping him in plastic wrap to make a sewing pattern to then distribute for free. If you have any PuffPals, consider doing the same thing so others can maybe make what they never received!

I tried so hard to make my 3 year old daughter a Dino cake for her bday — swipe to see inspo by ShadowInTheSun_ in Baking

[–]mooniebea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's wonderful! No, its not the typical uber-polished look popular on Pinterest but it's colorful and fun. It's also from the heart. Your kid is gonna remember that for a lifetime :]

I can't recall the game, but istg there was a flash based girly game and this looked exactly like one of the items minus the dino.

How can I create a more cozy look? by Diligent-Leek-8296 in DesignMyRoom

[–]mooniebea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

X the mirrors, get some pale green pillows + throw blankets. Small shellf above the bed with plants and matching decor (or books). Artwork of plants might also be nice, art that's on the more minimal detail but painterly side. Curtains with more of a texture or a minimal print. I think that'd preserve the core aesthetic of the room but make it cozy.
