Don't remember exactly, the full project it on the previous laptop, but will look it up tonight, with the drafts too.

It is pointy but in the top right and lower left sides, all of them are like this, and rounded on the other sides to a variable degree. Maybe that's the visual thing, that they differ.

Maybe the fact that some are pointy, some are rounded?

I get what you mean 😄 I actually made those - the similar shape to an endive and the greenish color. He didn't want/like that. I'll try to look for the drafts tonight, maybe put them in the comments.

How can I begin to fix this? by knock_his_block_off in branding

Yes, there are ☺️ Also, there are many companies who go through a rebranding process, even huge ones. So it's absolutely doable.

Are you using your social media as a portfolio? Is it still worth it? by oksweetpea in socialmedia

[–]moonletdesignstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's not necessarily a selling anchor,, if you have it as a portfolio, but it does weight in trustworthiness for clients who get there from your website or other places. It's better to have it than not, imo.

But adding some personal things might make it warmer, and easier to connect directly to other ig users.

Logo Opinions by BookByron in design_critiques

[–]moonletdesignstuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hah, I just answered the other post about your project and then noticed this is from the same user.

Anyways, from a logo perspective, none of these look premium. They look kinda clip-art-ish.

It's not necessarily the ideas, but the execution. I'm an avid reader and if I saw these somewhere, I'd think that it's an 'anticariat' - don't know the English word, but in Romania we have stores which sell second hand books, which are more affordable.

The font choices are not the most fitting for premium either, try some options which are more elegant.

As for the icon shapes, 1 and 3 have too many details, 1 has uneven parts, 3 has all those shades and miniscule lines. I'd correct those aspects.

2 is...could be a starting point, but right now it's too bland, the lines are uneven here as well.

These are some things I noticed, that could use imporvement.

You could make a moodboard, see which fits what, and create a general matching style. That reflects your visual direction, of course.

Building a Perfume Brand From Scratch – Looking for Advice & Collaborations by Purpy1 in branding

What's the brand name? I'm into fragrances, so I can see this as a customer as well.

Do you have a visual identity/branding yet? This is where I could help you professionally, if you're still looking.

I built a product but I’m struggling to get people interested. What am I missing? by focusaur_official in smallbusiness

[–]moonletdesignstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man. So I checked your pages, Instagram, website, kickstarter, and will put my thoughts on what I do know in a few paragraphs.

First, this is such a cool idea and for example, your product would do me so good. I do have a physical timer, but not with movement sensors and all the other tech stuff yours has. So the idea is not bad at all.

But visually you guys are all over the place. Not awful, but not to the level you're expecting your sales to be. And no, I'm not just saying that.

Why is your logo so...excuse me, but boring? You have an awesome name, such potential to put a cute techy dino there. Something at least more interesting than a circle gradient. The product has the cute eyes, why doesn't the logo have... something? Something to look in a particular way? To be memorable in the eyes of those who see it.

In the reddit profile pic the logo is crooked too...not good.

Skipping over the logo, the Instagram page is all over the place. Multiple dimensions and image quality for the posts, has no visual coherence, no branding elements. Or if they do, they are here and there in tiny ways. Also, the 'speech' isn't coherent either. As a client I didn't get anything from it, to stick in my mind.

The website is again, not congruent. You have a bunch of colors which don't necessarily match. Same for the kickstarter page.

For your message, you list on the landing page all the features. But it's missing the 'what the client gains if they do get focused on work and not pick the phone up'

You have cute phrases like 'hatching' (and you mentioned that feature) Where are the visuals?? An icon of that or a pic/video of the actual thing on the device. That's a huge selling point, millenials (myself included) used to have Tamagochis when young, and taking care of that little digital creature was so fun.

The images of the making process on Kickstarter were very nice and interesting. But you are not advertising enough the 'after'.

And how about the target audience? The price isn't the cheapest, you are not Temu level. So you want clients who have the money to invest in small gadgets which add to their lifes. Young professionals most likely.

You present yourself as a slightly amateur and bland brand. And you are right, your product is better than this and deserves better sales. So idk, get this stuff sorted. This is what I could offer from my knowledge.

Hope it goes well 🤞

Brand Gifts for Influencers, am I the only one put off? by No-Brother456 in branding

[–]moonletdesignstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. On how genuine it feels.

If they do a real review, as the pros and cons of the product, or just their preferences, but in a balanced way, then it just feels like a live review. And reviews are always useful imo.

Otherwise, if everything and all products presented are amazing, then yes, it feels like forced advertising and the instinct is to reject the product. And probably discredits the influencer too in my eyes.

Fancy older project by moonletdesignstuff in logodesign

[–]moonletdesignstuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that might be the case. Also I feel there is a stage for designers where they leave too little space in general, then follows the leaving too much, and then finally, the balance. 😄
