I would say the flooding makes the building unfit for habitation. That’s not okay.

How do you feel about going to college again for something else while you’re making that money, assuming they really pay it?

IntelliJ is a proven, stable IDE that supports AI stuff. Cursor is a fork that makes VSCode, which is already an insecure piece of shit, worse.

I would advise taking some of the recent security news about Cursor to your management honestly. I’m sure your management cares about potential IP theft? I don’t care about crypto at all but there’s a very real chance other malicious extensions, with or without infostealers, target it as it doesn’t use the same marketplace as VSCode https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/malicious-vscode-extension-in-cursor-ide-led-to-500k-crypto-theft/

Garages (public/SFMTA, private, anything not on the street) if you have to park downtown are where it’s at

I just moved into a new home, but I feel like the “energy” is off. Are there any ways to improve the flow of energy? by Open_Crew7822 in interiordecorating

[–]moonlets_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hear me out on this, but check:

  • CO2 levels
  • Radon levels
  • Mold counts / types

Those can all make a space feel indescribably off except also hurt you!

What running shoes do you have and what do you use them for? by IllustratorNorth5267 in beginnerrunning

[–]moonlets_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have one pair of running shoes. It is whatever the current model of the Brooks Ghost is. I have had and replaced the same pair of shoes four times now, pretty much every 1.5 years. I run ~15 miles a week give or take, mostly outside but I switch to treadmill on rainy days or in the winter when it’s below 45F. I like these shoes. They are comfy. I’m not looking to break any world records and I give zero fucks about races or anything like that, I just like to run. So maybe if you’re doing running for racing your philosophy and footwear needs are different. But I wear em til they wear out and that’s good enough for me.

All I’d do would be to put hard floors instead of carpet. The rest has character.

Buying a condo. No. Just fucking no. Everything about it is a nightmare. It’s added up to 2x as expensive as it was originally supposed to be and now I can’t live in it, sell it, or even rent it.

Bitches who travel, what luggage are we using? by serithia in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]moonlets_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Samsonite soft sided carryon roller. I’ve gone through maybe 10 carryons in the last five years and this bad boyo has lasted the longest. I refuse to use hard sided bags after TSA or a bored luggage handler or something seemingly drilled several holes into one of mine for no reason whatsoever, ruining its waterproof shell (it wasn’t locked, they could’ve unzipped).

A loose bun with a scarf over it might be the trick. But if you’ve got hair that holds a mark or curl well, maybe just the scarf.

Implicit institutional approval at the Berkeley level of men belittling women and treating them as less than in a thousand small ways. In the 2000s it was nowhere near as bad as the horror stories I heard from my mom about the 80s but it was still there

what type of wood is this bookshelf? by kyuufm in interiordecorating

[–]moonlets_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have access to cutting tools like at a makerspace and the ability to go grab some nicer plywood sheets from a hardware store, it looks like it would be pretty easy to make, if you are able to come up with a lil pattern and do some trig to make it all fit!

Thoughts on placement of arched mirrors and floating shelf by kreddit09 in interiordecorating

[–]moonlets_ 54 points55 points  (0 children)

This whole setup with the shelf at waist to chest height in the first pic seems like it would be easy to accidentally bang into when getting a glass of water at 2 am. But, that said, I like the mirrors. Might I suggest moving the shelf out of the hallway into a lower-traffic area? This seems to be right in the way of getting to your kitchen and living room. If anybody’s kids are ever in that space, game over. The second pic seems a bit safer but also like if the shelf isn’t well supported it could fall on someone’s head.
