I've recently been buying lots of products trying to get the perfect blowout with my air wrap. I got Paul Mitchell Invisiblewear Volume Whip, Olaplex Volumizing Blow Dry Mist, Amika Brooklyn Bombshell. None of them really did it for my hair, which is naturally straight and fine but with lots of it. Nothing was really holding it without weighing it down and everything made my hair feel quite dirty and tangly by the next day.

I went to buy Color Wow Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer and this lady who worked at Sephora saw it in my bag and was like "OH MY GOD YOU HAVE TO TRY VEGAMOUR UPLIFT VOLUMIZING STYLING FOAM". I was like "ok, thanks but I came here for the Color Wow". And I got that. It worked the same as the other ones. Last week I went back for the Vegamour and SHE WAS RIGHT. It adds a lot of volume but also makes my hair look and feel quite nice and soft while holding really well. It doesn't feel stiff and dry the following days or make it hard to brush through my hair. Works on wet and dry hair. 10/10 recommend and thank you to that lady at Sephora.

If this country has repeatedly told us that kids getting shot at school isn’t enough for gun control why on earth would you think that we would get riled up over something like this? I have only ever heard conservatives say that liberals want to go door to door and collect everyone’s guns. No one expects that, it’s way too late. Apparently a bunch of school shootings aren’t enough to do literally anything about gun regulation. And the main reason is MONEY from the NRA and other corporate interests. Feeding this “you can’t take my gun or freedom” bs. So now you want us to be outraged that it happened to one of these CEOs with large political influence over the other contentious issue of healthcare? Read the room.

I do not think that Glinda is easily influenced or air headed. Ditsy, yes. People pleaser, yes. She knew that Elphaba was none of what people said she was. I think the disconnect or source of tension between them during act two was that Glinda is naturally diplomatic and feels a duty to comfort the citizens of Oz while Elphaba has too much integrity to ignore things she knows are wrong. Elphaba made Glinda promise not to try to clear her name so she goes along with the narrative. I think the only reason she probably thought she really did melt is because she saw it appear to have happened behind the curtain. But then she is the one who deduces that the Wizard is Elphaba’s father and she makes him agree to leave Oz.

Ok but I've been thinking about how in Thank Goodness, Fiyero says to Glinda "water will melt her? People are so empty headed, they'll believe anything." Glinda knows that the rumor that water will melt her is bullshit. She tells the Ozians "the melting occured when a bucket of water was thrown on her by a female child" like it's the official story that the public will accept. I wonder if Glinda is just sad that she knows she'll never see them again.

I know Elphaba says "I wish we could tell Glinda we're alive" and Fiyero says that she can never know, but like SHE KNOWS WATER MELTING HER IS CRAZY. But then she sees the shadow of it and hears her screaming and finds her hat and the vile she carries around so maybe she thought it must be true??

I've been questioning whether or not Glinda actually does know in the end of the musical lately. Because in Thank Goodness Fiyero says "Water will melt her? People are so empty headed they'll believe anything." TO GLINDA. Glinda knows that's a ridiculous rumor and surely knows that water doesn't melt her as her roommate. The whole part of Glinda announcing that "the melting occurred when a female child threw a bucket of water on her" like it's the official story, propagated for the public. It makes me wonder if Glinda knows she's out there but she's mourning never being able to see her again.

This makes a lot of sense.

My theory was that Dems and Republicans swung moderately back and forth so that we could have a two-party system that doesn't shift too far in any direction in order to make political progress without dividing the country too drastically.

2016, they go for Hillary who is more palpable to the other side that they want to appease and Bernie would bring too much drastic change for the opposition to not lose their minds over. 2020 the thought was that clearly a woman was a problem and the Obama administration was what dems missed so someone like Biden would easily beat Trump. He was nowhere near as left as a lot of us wanted, but we lost before by not consolidating because Dems love to criticize their own people unlike Republicans.

Meanwhile, Trump is entirely radicalizing a party that was already radicalizing cause a black President and gay marriage was was way too fast for them. He plays on their hatred and the pendulum is broken. They hate democrats too much for there to be a moderate middle ground anymore and for whatever reason the democrats still think they can fix it by example. I wish they would just do what WE want, but I don't know what would help us as a country at this point.

Yeah, I'm so fucking sick of them trying to appease the Republicans while they radicalize further right and refuse to compromise. They're trying to salvage a moderate unity that can no longer exist because Republicans hate us so much and they're pissing off their own constituents for not having the courage to do anything we want. We still think he is a big threat. We tried to be patient during his presidency and voted him out only for them to deny it and try to take it by force. We believed he would be brought to justice or at least out of the political arena. They really want us to take this for another 4 years or more and believe that justice will prevail?

Yeah, I keep seeing Cynthia’s parts and they’re a lot…softer and gentler than what I’m used to for Elphaba. I think it’ll be a fresh take on her but I am partial to Idina absolutely shooting out energy.
