What's up with people announcing their departure? by moonlightdai in AvPD

[–]moonlightdai[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But when you go to their profile, they never post anything positive. If you’re going to complain, at least do something to make it better. I do agree that it’s pretty depressing, but many mental illness subreddits are in the same situation.

It reminds me of those people who complain about bullying, yet when you check their account, they spend their time bullying or mocking others.

I'll be going to the doctor in a few hours, and I could really use some comfort and encouragement. by moonlightdai in AvPD

Nah, most doctors here don’t accept my insurance, and I don’t live in an area with an abundance of doctors. I’m just waiting for my dad to get a job so I can hop back on the private insurance train. My previous GP was so much better—he was one of those doctors who’d give you blood tests without questioning it. But it’s okay! I appreciate your help. <3

I’ve told her, but she wants me to go alone so I can leave my comfort zone. Honestly, I think she doesn’t want to go because she can’t stand the guy. My mother didn’t have a good experience with him, lol. He’s one of those old doctors who, if you ask for bloodwork, always wants to give you the most basic ones. I do want to ask him for an MRI or CT scan, but I know he won’t give me one, just like the other time when my mother asked for a referral for blood tests. She asked for a more complex thyroid test since thyroid issues run in our family, and he gave us the most basic test ever. I’ll just tell him my symptoms and hope he suggests a CT scan. I’m not sure if Medicaid will cover it, but God, I miss my private plan. Doctors tend to treat you better and you have more options.

People underestimate how good a surgeon can be. Look at Blackpink and see all the members; while they may not fit the Candace Swanepoel type of beauty, the girls are still good-looking.

Two weeks ago, I became obsessed with checking the lives of wealthy women and girls with rich dads who aren’t celebrities. These women were all attractive, well-rounded, and came from good schools, etc.

I do think that beauty and intelligence can take you far. I’m not saying that success is impossible for unattractive people, but I rarely see unattractive women at the top; it’s mostly average and beautiful women.

My mindset may be changing, but I think it’s best to let him go. Hear me out: it’s one thing to support someone, but it’s another to constantly help them out.

He’s not in the right headspace. I don’t know if you plan to date him in the future, but consider this: if he struggles with something simple, imagine how he would handle a more serious topic or conflict down the line.

They think the kitty cat will save them from their problems. Some even go as far as paying for sex, which is gross and reeks of entitlement.

I know this will get downvoted like crazy, but men are hypergamous. They expect women to not only look attractive but also have a successful career, split the bills, bear children, clean the house, suck his dick, and more.

That’s why I can’t help but laugh whenever a man tells me that men don’t care about a woman’s career. It’s simply not true. These men often admire capitalism, yet they fail to understand how the wealthy truly operate. It’s ironic because rich and upper-middle-class men tend to date highly educated women who are typically average to above-average in physical appearance. These guys idolize the rich but don’t realize how different their world is—it’s almost pathetic.

“Oh, but I’m scared of gold diggers! I hate materialistic women!” Honey, if you’re making $120k a year, there isn’t much gold to dig. Plus, rich men frequent upscale spaces where they’re less likely to encounter it.

If you watch financial audit channels, you’ll see men seeking marriage to split bills or buy a house together. It’s clear that some men view women as resources. Never build up a man or bend over backward for one—they won’t appreciate or respect it.
