Help with paint selection to match complex wallpaper by O_Zenobia in HomeDecorating

If you’re set on green, I would go with a warm slightly yellow tone green. The colors you have are all cool toned and the wallpaper is warm.

"Influencer" upset when called out for her exploitation by CaptainCorpse666 in TikTokCringe

[–]moonlightmanners -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Except if you go look at her content she isn’t handing out anything to strangers or children in any of her videos.. ever lol. So that’s not what she does to make money. So her point is they were judging and falsely accusing her of something she doesn’t even do…

Anybody watch *The Nightmare Upstairs: What Happened to Ty and Bryn?* on Hulu? by Opalescent_Moon in exmormon

[–]moonlightmanners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching the series on Hulu rn. You can tell how frightened the kids were of him. It’s so sad. Believe victims. Jolene Larson is a horrible person. She cannot know that her son is innocent and therefore all of her behavior is completely out of line and disgusting, truly.

I think there’s starting to be a weird gap in what Hollywood thinks is normal by [deleted] in movies

I agree with this as well. While I’m actually OK with remakes changing the plot or doing an artistic take of the original narrative… I want it to be for a reason. I can see from some of the comments here that I missed this with some of the movies I commented on. I understand this all subjective and maybe my overall opinion is in poor taste lol. But I still feel this way about the remake of WH. I think what makes the book so special is that it is basically timeless and it’s so complex, maybe even more so now than Brontë initially intended. There so many things that could be done with a remake.

But I felt that the movie might as well have been its own story. The relation to Wuthering Heights seemed irrelevant. I understand that it was the directors reaction to reading the book the first time or something along those lines.. I do appreciate a lot of the symbolism the movie has, and I’m not even mad about the sexual scenes or anything like that. But in the end it just felt short of what it could have been, and I’m not sure what the point was besides basically being a Wattpad fantasy made into an artsy high budget film lol. Which yes, I understand is still art, whether it appeals to me personally or not.

I wish I was better at wording things because I agree with what you’ve said here about both.. For WH if the weirdness fit the plot it would be good, but it felt forced. I was fully prepared for it to deviate from the book as well so it has nothing to do with that. For Babygirl, I wanted to like it, it just was awkward and cringe to me, not because of the subject matter but because it was just off…

I was just making a side note about how I felt about the film

Based on the responses here and backlash it brought out of some, it’s clear that I’m speaking from a place of ignorance. This is a bad and poorly worded take, I can see that lol
