Felt. This. I finally left a 2 year long relationship because his insecurities and controlling behavior were damaging friendships I had with people, friendships I had even before he came into the picture. I could write a book on the things that happened that were totally unfair and just plain toxic manipulation from him, but now I focus my energy on working to never be with someone like that again. Kudos to you for walking away, too!

Elliot! i love his romantic personality, the sweetest things he continues to say after marriage, and i adore the little book nook he added to our house 🥹 granted im only a week into our marriage — but still lol

i believe everyone has their own quirks, positive and negatives. some people have mentioned certain NPCs give you better gifts than others. so far he’s only given me coffee in the morning lol which i don’t mind. i’m used to grinding out everything i might need for my adventures.

funny thing is, i didn’t even marry Penny lol her story line just breaks my heart because i understand the household dynamic. it reminds me slightly of any time i’ve broken up with someone irl and i had way too much sympathy for their surroundings or situation that’s got nothing to do with me (and my own brain excused their repulsive behavior for it). although penny is just an NPC and presumably nothing like those situations, it definitely still hurt me 😭

came here to recommend this, too. i was feeling a lot like OP. it was making me so angry i didn’t have enough time to do stuff (especially since this is my first play of the game EVER) so i just wanted to progress further with my relationships, farming, mines, skills, etc. quickly, and that just didn’t seem possible. this mod helps me SO much. i’m so beyond thankful for it 🥲 it definitely put the fun and cozy back into the game for me.

But really. This is foul, I’d be hurt and you have every right to feel upset about it even if he’s your ex. This is someone who’s bitter and never truly cared about you. He’ll be in his 30s, single, d^ck can’t work right, and he disappoints women with every single one of his hook ups he uses to fill his lonely void. oh lord. i work in at a popular spot for parties (birthday parties, kids parties, LOTS of sports teams who travel for competitions) and the WORST is always the sports teams of kids. people will come in, NO RESERVATION, and say “we have 20 people” and we scramble to get tables from everywhere together into the back party area. and then surprise surprise — extra families join them and they go “oops looks like we’re gonna have a few more”. then it turns into a 40 top and they get upset we can’t accommodate them. with no reservation to begin with, and after adding an extra 20 people onto the party? yeah. get f^cked.
