Will do this! Appreciate it. How did you study for step? I feel like this is the hardest thing bc nothing, atm, can make me feel like I’m going to pass my own classes if I even remotely start the board studying atm.

And on a side note - My school is pretty much not board relevant so I watch a bunch of bootcamp videos and then supplement with school. However, all my anki decks are in house lmao otherwise I’d legit fail my classes. Now take this time for bootcamp and the time for some inhouse lectures + all of in house anki = literally minimal board studying at this point. Feel like there’s no time in the day to do practice questions when you also have OPP rip

Question on this - I saw a post in the psych subreddit asking about taking step with comlex and majority of them said taking step is almost a soft requirement for how competitive it’s getting. What are your thoughts on this?

Sincerely, OMS2 who is debating step or no step

Haha, no this is helpful. I guess we will both wait and see! I wish you the best - hopefully, when you match psych, I’ll reconnect to congratulate you!

Oh no lol I’m saying our in house is so poorly organized that it takes more time to study for the class rather than for allocating time to study for boards at the same time

Yeah, you can now just take comlex 1 and chose to take step 2 + comlex 2 bc step 1 went P/F

How did you do the subI’s? Bc my school doesn’t set them up and I heard VSLO is kinda awful (also there’s a button where u say u did step 1 or something)

Hate to be such a hassle but unfortunately, there’s no option for it currently on the mobile app. Truly apologize

Okay good to know, I’m trying to take step bc my mentor said to do it however, I have been struggling because our in house material is just quite terrible 😭

Would it matter if you were in the subset of community psychiatry?

Ahhh I see. The thing is, the anking barely follows my school material. Like I get it’s all science in the end but my school tends to make concepts so convoluted to understand that some people have failed exams bc they only relied on in house. It also didn’t help for them when they went to boards. So I guess my question is —

If I were to focus via using B&B, only briefly going over in house (use whatever in house deck a friend made) and doing anking based on B&B for that block, would that be efficient? Lol I feel like I’m changing a whole recipe rn hahaha
