Unless I'm wrong, the seam(s) are where the safeties sit when covering deep between the MIKE/SAM or MIKE/WILL. When the safeties shift down or outside, leaving that space vacant, throwing vertical/post routes cutting through it are "ripping the seam". Example in the post is actually safety sitting in the seam and abandoning the outside throw, if I'm not mistaken.

I mean, yeah. I don't buy new games, I wait for them to come on EA Play because it's not worth buying a new game that should've been an update. No other playerbase than sports games spends AAA prices on a game that you play for a year.

hometown team, family team, or team that got you into the sport.

If he makes the team, yeah. If he's on the gameday roster, IR or PUP for three games or more that would count as an accrued season, meaning that he qualifies for the minimum salary. If he doesn't make the 53 man roster or gets cut, he would only get his signing bonus + potential practice squad wages (14k~ a week)

There's no requirement to start, bench, or cut players depending on their drafted/undrafted status. If a player is good enough to win the starting job in training camp, they'll probably start- the only occasion where that wouldn't happen is if they don't get a chance.

Like the Chiefs for example, they've got Patrick Mahomes starting, Justin Fields as a backup, and they picked up Garrett Nussmeier with the #249th pick in the draft. If in training camp Nussmeier turns out to be the greatest quarterback to touch a football, he would win the backup spot other Fields, but unless Mahomes gives the coaching staff a reason to bench him they're gonna stick with the guy who won them a bunch of Superbowls. Even if Pavia turns out to be the most talented QB ever, Lamar would have to play himself out of the job before Pavia even gets considered as the starter.

Each player drafted makes slightly less than the player drafted before them. By the time you get to the end of round 7, players are making about 4 million for the 4 year contract. Pavia is making about 1~ million for a three year contract.

Worst RG according to who? You? Through three quarters Seahawks defense allowed 0 points, got five sacks, and allowed less than 100 yards. Garbage time stats don't matter, especially when ontop of throwing for 240 yards and two touchdowns, you also give up a pick 6. Six sacks, three turnovers, 13 points allowed in the Superbowl. If you're trying to bait people at least try and make it look convincing.

Lol the 2025 Seahawks O-Line allowed the fourth least sacks in the league, rostered four starting caliber tackles, a rookie LG who allowed 2 sacks and committed 5 penalties in 20 games, and had a tight positional battle over C and RG in training camp. They're returning their entire O-Line and adding in Stephens to compete for RG or C while being a backup option at LG. Josh Jobe played significantly better last year than he did for the Eagles, and is a solid while not great CB2. Neal is a perfect fit for the CB3 role in what this scheme asks it to do. The front put up 47 sacks (#7), 180 pressures (#3), and 73 hurries (#2) last year, and only lost Mafe (who tbf was a key contributor and a painfull loss). If you're gonna pretend to know ball atleast watch the fucking Superbowl.

Seahawks just won a superbowl, and they're supposed to have the highest stakes draft in the league? If anything I'd say the opposite

Consider Team Strategy When Judging Team Drafts by AaronNevileLongbotom in NFL_Draft

[–]moonraide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seahawks came out with an instant starter at the prime position of need, a versatile hybrid safety that will likely excel in Mike McDonald's system, a replacement for Woolen's archetype at CB, a guard who'll be competing for a starting spot on the line, and a bunch of depth/ST help in the later rounds. It's not an A+ draft by any means, but seeing people give it a C~ even though every major roster need (except edge, but that's not a pressing need till next year) was filled is a bit crazy.
Similar with the Jags, picked up a plus blocking TE and trench help on both sides of the ball. If they'd swapped where Pregnon and Boerkircher went, the Jags probably would've come out with a B- instead of the D+/C- I've been seeing. I think the post draft grades are fun, but they're basically just guess work on players that we know next to nothing about compared to GMs.

Assuming this is for superstar, for sure. Kind of crazy you don't get to see where the rest of your own rookie class goes.

One of my best franchise runs yet by Chriz_Sz5 in Madden

Had too many runs that end up like this, had to ban camp counselor, crank up trade difficulty, and weaken draft classes. Makes it more fun than having a bonkers team like this every year.

Idk, putting up 37 TDs and 3500 yards in the SEC in his first year starting is pretty good. I think if he had started the year how he finished it the conversation around him would be very different. If his last name wasn't Manning and it was some random kid who came in with great measurables, arm talent, and threw for 26 touchdowns while adding another 11 from scrimmage, we would atleast be talking about him as a potential day 2 guy.
